Forget the explosive set pieces and martial arts ass-kicking in new movie John Wick: Chapter 4 - here’s our look at the screen assassin's four-wheeled weapons of choice.
The latest instalment of the Keanu Reeves actioner has just recorded the best opening weekend sales of the franchise so far, raking-in $73.5m (£60m) at the box office in the US alone.
Launched in the UK last week, John Wick: Chapter 4 is also scoring top reviews, securing a critics’ score of 95% on the website Rotten Tomatoes. The original 2014 flick scored 86% while the second and third movies scored 89%.
The plot of Chapter 4, directed once more by Chad Stahelski, sees Reeves’ Wick setting out to unleash hell on the mobsters who left him for dead.
And while ice-cold Wick is rarely seen without his trusty pistol, it’s the stuff in his garage - not his armoury - that we’re really interested in here at Select Car Leasing.
So, to celebrate the film's launch, here's a quick look at Wick’s favourite whips:
Ford Mustang Boss 429 (1969)
This is the car that launched the entire John Wick franchise.
The first movie sees hitman Wick enjoying a happy retirement having completed ‘one last job’ for the Russian mafia.
Wick isn’t a man to be messed with, having earned the nickname ‘Baba Yaga’ thanks to his deadly exploits - with Baba Yaga being the feared mythical creature from Russian lore who devours her victims.
Yet Wick is pulled back into the underworld after mobsters kill his puppy… and swipe his prized muscle car, a stunning Ford Mustang Boss 429.
A 7.0 litre V8 engine provides power of around 375 hp.

Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 (1970)
At the beginning of John Wick: Chapter 2, our black-suited executioner is on a mission to get his Mustang back from the mafia. But, having found it, the ‘Stang gets wrecked in the opening carnage - meaning Wick has to find a new ride.
He steps into a Chevy Chevelle SS 396 - another period muscle car - this time packing a 6.5 litre V8 with power of 350 hp.
Price to buy now: £85,000 est.
Dodge Charger SXT (2011)
Our punch-happy protagonist doesn’t just do retro cars, as he’s a fan of modern muscle, too.
And a scene-stealing set of wheels he relies upon in the first three flicks is his super-smooth Dodge Charger SXT.
Here a 3.6 litre V6 engine gives Wick power of 300 hp under his right foot - more than enough to give the bad guys a run for their money.
Four doors also means there’s the practicality for doing the school run in between offing the perps.
Price to buy now: £20,000 est.
Plymouth Barracuda (1971)
The fourth instalment of the John Wick franchise sees Reeves piloting a Plymouth Barracuda from 1971 - another muscle car that ensures Wick stays insta-friendly.
The biggest engine option with this car - and the one we reckon Wick would have plumped for given the choice - is a 7.0 litre V8 unit offering power of 425 hp.
Reeves, 58, also reckons he’s saved his best driving skills for the latest film.
He told People magazine:
“We took the car-driving to the next level, which I really enjoy. There's 180s, forward-into-reverse 180s, reverse-into-forward 270s, drifting.… So it was really fun to get a chance to learn those skills, and to play.”
Price to buy now: £50,000 est.
