About the Volkswagen T-Roc

First unveiled in 2017, the eye-catching T-Roc is now in its second generation and has established itself as one of Volkswagen’s best-selling vehicles.

The latest variant is larger and more spacious than its predecessor, coming with a generous 475-litre boot (more than you get with a Ford Puma) and extra space in the cabin for passengers.

The T-Roc shares a platform (the 'MQB evo' platform) with the larger VW Tiguan and VW Tayron, and so adopts tech from those higher-class models - which includes optional features like semi-automatic lane changes and remote parking.

You can choose from frugal petrol mild hybrid or full hybrid powertrains, with the second-gen T-Roc having dropped the option of a diesel engine.

Why lease a Volkswagen T-Roc?

The VW T-Roc has instant appeal as a do-it-all vehicle that's larger than the VW T-Cross or VW Taigo yet still more nimble and fun than the family-sized VW Tiguan SUV.

There are three trims to choose from (Life, Style and R-Line) and the good news here is that all models come generously equipped as standard.

Entry-level models come with LED headlights, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, a rear view camera, and adaptive cruise control.

The T-Roc achieved a full 5-star safety score with Euro NCAP (the industry safety assessors) and also comes as standard with automatic emergency braking with 'Front Assist' for pedestrian and cyclist monitoring.

Volkswagen T-Roc Frequently Asked Questions

The latest, second generation VW T-Roc has grown compared with the previous car, being 12cm longer, 9mm taller and 9mm wider. That translates to extra room in the cabin for passengers and you also get a larger boot - up 30 litres to a max of 475 litres. While the coupe-like styling of the T-Roc remains from the previous generation, the exterior styling has been modernised. At the front you’ll see a distinctive honeycomb grille while there are lightbars and illuminated VW logos at the front and rear (on certain trim levels). You can also enjoy alloy wheels up to 20 inches in size, which is a first for the T-Roc.

At launch, the latest VW-Roc is available with a choice of mild hybrid engines. A 1.5-litre petrol unit produces either 116 or 150 PS and all are paired with a 7-speed DSG. A full hybrid powertrain for the VW T-Roc will also be available in due course. The performance T-Roc R is not expected to return to the line-up until 2027.

Not at launch; there are no pure EV or PHEV variants for the VW T-Roc confirmed yet. The initial focus is on mild hybrids with full hybrids coming later.

All versions of the VW T-Roc come with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with 'Front Assist' for pedestrian and cyclist monitoring, and auto-dimming headlights. Optional equipment includes Travel Assist with automatic lane changes while the Park Assist system can help automatically park the vehicle - and also remotely via a smartphone app.

No. While the first generation T-Roc Cabriolet will be sold in certain markets until 2027, it’s being phased out and there will be no second generation update for the soft-top model.

Andrew did a great job at select leasing kept us up to date cars delivered on time can’t fault their service. On the downside we are unsure of the performance of the battery of the Omoda 5 we are unsure if it is because the cars have been stood since October and maybe need a few charges but at moment range is no where near to what is advertised
