Ford Puma Lease

The Ford Puma is a popular hatchback-SUV crossover that's one of the best-selling vehicles in the UK.

The appeal is obvious; the Puma is as stylish as it is versatile, and it makes complete sense as a practical family car lease, too.

Ford treated the Puma to an update in 2024, giving it more style, improved safety, and an uprated cabin for even more comfort.

While it’s a small car in SUV terms, it’s noticeably bigger than a regular hatchback and a higher driving position gives a commanding view of the road ahead.

It looks stylish and athletic, especially on higher trims – and it’s great to drive.

A rival to the Nissan Juke, Skoda Kamiq and Audi Q2, the Ford Puma is powered by a 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine that boasts mild-hybrid tech and which comes with power of up to 155 PS.

The more potent ST Powershift models, however, up the ante with 170 PS while quickening the 0-62mph acceleration time.

About the Ford Puma

The Ford Puma was originally a compact three-door coupe launched in 1997, but it only lasted five years.

Really, it’s only the name that bears any resemblance to the SUV crossover, which was launched in 2019.

The vehicle is easy to drive, has excellent handling, and has a nice blend of performance and fuel economy.

Inside, all is pleasant to look at, while the cabin is spacious and practical – and it has a big boot to cater for busy shopping trips, too.

Not only that, but even at entry level, the Ford Puma is bountifully equipped with plenty of driver assistance technology.

Why lease a Ford Puma?

The Ford Puma is arguably one of the best small SUV crossovers on the market, with family-friendly looks, keen handling, and well-mannered engines.

That means it’s fun to drive, so those who like enjoyable driving experiences are well-catered for.

The Puma is also good value for money, offering many features throughout the range.

Of course, plenty of rivals compete well with the Puma, but Ford's dependability and solid reputation mean the Puma should be a great leasing choice.

The vehicle is attractive and appealing, inside and out. Plus, there's a good selection of engines and trims for those who want to maximise sportiness and performance versus fuel economy.

Which Ford Puma fuel type is right for me?

Only petrol engines are available on the Ford Puma, with no diesels or plug-in hybrids currently available.

Petrol

Two of the petrol engines are 1.0-litres, producing 125 or 155PS, while the top-of-the-range ST version gets a 1.5-litre, which stirs up 200PS. The power units also feature some mild-hybrid technology.

Which trim level should I lease?

There is plenty of choice in terms of trims on the Ford Puma. In fact, there are six of them: Titanium, ST-Line, ST-Line X, Vivid Ruby Edition, ST-Line Vignale, and ST.

Titanium

Titanium

The latest, entry-level Ford Puma comes well-equipped, with 17-inch alloys, LED lights, a rear-view camera, 12-inch touchscreen, cruise control with intelligent speed assist, and the Ford 'MegaBox' extended bootspace.

ST-Line X

ST-Line X

The ST-Line X grade gets 18-inch alloys, a Bang and Olufsen premium sound system, a wireless charger, automatic temperature control and Sensico upholstery.

ST

ST

The top-of-the-range grade gets 19-inch wheels, a more aggressive body kit, larger door mirrors, red brake callipers, ST suspension, a black roof, and performance seats.

What vehicles are similar to the Ford Puma that I should consider?

The Ford Puma has no shortage of rivals, and there are many cars we could list here. But we've chosen the Volkswagen T-Roc, Skoda Kamiq, Nissan Juke and Renault Captur as a starter.

Volkswagen T-Roc Hatchback

Hatchback

The VW T-Roc is an excellent all-rounder with good ride comfort, a large boot, a roomy cabin and well-refined engines.

Skoda Kamiq Hatchback

Kamiq Hatchback

The Skoda Kamiq is a genuinely great car, boasting superb ride comfort, a spacious interior, a large boot, and decent powertrains.

Nissan Juke Hatchback

Juke Hatchback

The popular Nissan Juke has a lovely interior and is very well-equipped. Plus, its recently revised looks are far snazzier than older models.

Renault Captur Hatchback

Captur Hatchback

Renault’s Captur is a good-looking car filled with personality. It is well-equipped and very safe with an appealing and, in some trims, colourful interior.

Ford Puma Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re after a small family hatchback but also want the raised driving position of an SUV, the Ford Puma could be the ideal car for you. Leasing is becoming progressively popular in the UK. So you could opt for a nicer car, such as the Puma, by choosing to spread out your payments over months rather than splashing a wedge of cash in one go and settling for less. The Ford Puma combines chic looks with more practicality than a small supermini – and you won’t have to stew about depreciation either.

There are many different configurations and combinations to factor in which affect the price of a Ford Puma. These include various petrol and petrol-hybrid engines offered, depending on whether you prioritise fuel-sipping economy or perky performance. Here at Select Car Leasing, we offer ultra-competitive pricing thanks to our industry networks, which means we can pass the savings on to you. So have a good look around our website to begin checking out all the different configurations available on the fine-looking Ford Puma and to see our deals and car lease deals.

The Ford Puma features trendy, sporty looks combined with an equally nice-looking interior that is well designed and well built. The Ford also handles well, prioritising performance while still retaining a comfortable ride, although sportier models are a tad firmer. There is a decent amount of technology onboard, too, combining the latest safety gadgetry with an easy-to-use infotainment system. There is a wide choice of petrol and petrol-hybrid powertrains to choose from, too. You can find out more about what the Ford Puma has to offer here on our website.

The Ford Puma is one of the safest cars on the road, performing well when crash-tested by the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP). It also scored well in every category for which it was tested. It comes with various gadgets, including some semi-autonomous safety features, plus driving assists to prevent collisions. The Puma also has a well-designed chassis that will offer maximum protection in the event of an accident. Although this is a small SUV, there is still a decent amount of room inside, and it has a reasonably large boot for a car of its size.

The Ford Puma is available in several trim levels, ranging from those who want a basic family car to those who seek performance, sports-focused handling and a more powerful engine. You’ll also notice slightly revised exterior styling depending on which trim you choose. With a choice of petrol and petrol-hybrid variants, there’s a powertrain available to suit your needs. Even entry-level models come with a pleasing amount of equipment, although this does increase as you go up the trim levels. So look around our website to find out more and begin designing your own ideal Ford Puma.
