Audi Q2 Lease

The Q2 is Audi's most compact SUV, sitting below the Q3 in the range, and represented the first crossover to be developed by the famous German marque. Looking and feeling modern both inside and out, the Q2 enjoyed a recent refresh that has kept it more than competitive against rivals like the Volkswagen T-Roc, Volvo XC40, and MINI Countryman

All of the engines on offer with the Q2 are petrol units, with power ranging from 110 PS to 150 PS.

The most potent powertrain is the 1.5 litre ‘35 TFSI’ petrol engine, which can be mated to a six speed manual or ‘S tronic’ automatic gearbox.

You can also enjoy fuel efficiency of almost 50 miles to the gallon with the base, 1.0 litre ‘30 TFSI’ engine, which isn’t to be sniffed at.

The Audi Q2's interior has come in for particular praise and when you step inside the luxurious cabin it's not difficult to see why. Even the basic Technik model comes with standard features like rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter, and dual-zone climate control.

Audi’s ‘Audi pre-sense front with pedestrian recognition’ danger detecting system is also standard fit with every Q2.

About the Audi Q2

First launched in 2016, the Audi Q2 is a stylish, compact SUV-crossover from the premium German manufacturer.

It shares the same platform as the Volkswagen T-Roc, which makes the VW a natural rival to its Audi stablemate.

And while there’s no plug-in hybrid option with the Q2, unlike other SUVs in the firm’s range, the fact that it’s the most affordable SUV in the Audi line-up means it’s a tempting way to get behind the wheel of a vehicle from this premium German manufacturer.

The line-up of engines is simple - you can opt for a 1.0 litre petrol unit developing power of 110 PS or a 1.5 litre petrol mill with power of 150 PS.

And whichever powertrain you choose, you can expect healthy fuel economy upwards of 45 miles to the gallon, and the kudos that comes with driving a lease car with that famous Audi badge emblazoned on the front.

Why lease an Audi Q2?

The Q2 is as smart as it is practical.

Design wise, Audi proudly says that its Q2 is an ‘SUV with an edge’, and a lease vehicle that’s ‘full of character’.

But it’s not all about show - the Q2 boasts a generous 405 litre boot, which is larger than many of its rivals, including the SEAT Arona, and it’s equipped for busy families.

The Q2 is also generously equipped as standard, with base models featuring creature comforts such as a powered tailgate, rear parking sensors, an 8.3 inch infotainment screen, and Audi’s danger-detecting ‘Pre-sense front with pedestrian recognition’ system.

While we’re not focusing on it here, there’s also a performance version of the Q2 - the ‘SQ2’ - which boasts power of 300 PS and acts as a perfect competitor to the VW T-Roc ‘R’.

Which Audi Q2 engine is right for me?

The engines on offer with the Q2 number just two, but can be married to either a six-speed manual gearbox or Audi’s ‘S tronic’ automatic drivetrain.

30 TFSI

This is a 1.0 litre petrol engine that can be enjoyed in combination with any of the trim levels. There’s power of 110 PS and it’ll return up to 49 mpg.

35 TFSI

The ‘35 TFSI’ powertrain is underpinned by a 1.5 litre petrol engine with power of 150 PS. It sees the Q2 accelerate from 0-62mph in 8.6 seconds.

Which Audi Q2 trim level should I lease?

There are four trim levels to be leased with an Audi Q2, running from base ‘Technik’ through ‘Sport’, ‘S-Line’ and ‘Black Edition’. There is, however, no option of ‘Quattro’ all-wheel drive.

Sport

Sport

The Q2 Sport models feature larger 17 inch alloys and add extras such as the Audi ‘Virtual Cockpit’, which sits behind the steering wheel, and front sport seats.

S Line

S Line

The S-Line trim boasts 18 inch alloys, unique sporty body styling, part-leather upholstery, and tatt brushed aluminium trim inlays.

Black Edition

Black Edition

Sitting at the top of the Q2 trim level, Black Edition models enjoy dark tinted windows, flat-bottomed steering wheel, 19 inch alloys, and, of course, the ‘Black’ styling pack.

What vehicles are similar to the Audi Q2 that I should consider?

As explained above, the Volkswagen T-Roc is the Audi Q2’s most similar rival. But there are other competitors.

Volkswagen T-Roc Hatchback

Hatchback

There’s a larger choice of engines with the T-Roc, including the option of a 2.0 litre diesel mill that’ll return up to 60 miles to the gallon.

Mini Countryman Hatchback

Hatchback

The MINI Countryman is another compact SUV you should consider alongside the Audi Q2. The Countryman is also available as an all-wheel drive plug-in hybrid, too.

DS DS3 Electric Hatchback

Hatchback

The DS 3 Crossback E-Tense has all the style of the Audi Q2 but also features an all-electric powertrain with a range of up to 248 miles between charges.

BMW X1 Estate

Estate

The X1 is the most compact SUV in the BMW range and is available with a good choice of petrol and diesel powertrains.

Mercedes GLA Class Hatchback

GLA Class Hatchback

Slightly bigger and more practical than the Audi Q2, the Mercedes-Benz GLA also commands a higher monthly leasing fee.

Audi Q2 Review

The Audi Q2 aims to bring a premium vibe to this type of machine, and prove that just because your car is small, that doesn’t mean it’s not swanky. The Q2 is available in several well-equipped trim levels, and was given an overhaul in 2020, which means it’s as fresh as its rivals

Audi Q2 Frequently Asked Questions

The Audi Q2 is best described as an all-rounder - you get the kudos of the Audi badge, as well as the ride height and practicality of an SUV, at an affordable monthly leasing price.

The Q2 line-up of engines and trims is also refreshingly unfussy, giving you a clear idea of which version of the Q2 you’d like to lease.

There’s no plug-in hybrid engine with the Q2 - if you want that sort of fuel economy you’ll need to jump up a leasing level to the Audi Q3 ‘TFSI e’.

But it’s arguably the most stylish crossover in its class and the Q2 has bags of personality.

The most affordable Audi Q2 in the range is the ‘Technik’ model, which features a frugal 1.0 litre petrol engine with power of 110 PS and which can accelerate from 0-62mph in around 11 seconds. That’s not blisteringly-quick, but is more than adequate for the school run and it’ll also return a wallet-friendly 49 miles to the gallon.

In fact, the other, larger, 1.5 litre petrol engine is equally frugal, returning around 45 mpg, so whichever Q2 you choose to lease you won’t need to fear the running costs.

Here at Select Car Leasing our unrivalled network of industry contacts among finance companies and dealer networks means we can offer our customers the most competitive leasing rates on the market. If you’d like to discuss an Audi Q2 lease, hit the ‘Enquire’ button next to one of the deals or call 0118 467 8338.

An Audi Q2 caters to those who want the feel of driving a bigger vehicle without having to give up their small family hatchback. The Q2 provides a slightly raised driving position while, at its heart, it is still family-focused. In addition, the Q2 has class-leading levels of technology and driving assists, combined with refined handling. It also boasts a premium interior and a comfortable ride. What’s more, it sports the classic large Audi grille, which acts as the centrepiece of the good looks you’ll expect from a premium German car. More information about the Q2’s specific features can be found at the top of the page so you can prioritise what’s important to you.

The Q2 was put through its paces by the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) in 2016 when it gained the maximum five star rating for safety.

Adult and child occupant safety was singled out for praise while Euro NCAP also commented:

“The Q2 has an autonomous emergency braking system that operates at the low speeds, typical of city of driving, at which many whiplash injuries are caused. The
system performed well in Euro NCAP's tests, with a collision against a stationary car being avoided at all test speeds.”

Standard safety equipment for the Q2 includes rear parking sensors and an electric parking brake, which give you added reassurance.

There are four trim levels - the base ‘Technik’ followed by ‘Sport’, ‘S-Line’ and ‘Black Edition’. We have some fantastic lease deals on the Q2 at all of the trim levels mentioned above, so take a look at some of the offers outlined above.

The ‘Black Edition’ models are particularly eye-catching, coming with the Audi ‘Black Pack’ for the exterior styling which adds some real road presence to your Q2 lease.

Darren was easy to deal with, explained everything, always helpful on each occasion we spoke. Darren was my main contact but others I spoke with were equally good to deal with. If I wanted to lease in the future I would come back to this company.

My experience with Select Car leasing has been excellent. Sarah Schatynski the agent I had was very professional and provided excellent customer service throughout, explaining the process and sorted out any requests very efficiently, and even called me the day after I had received my vehicle to make sure everything was ok. I received regular updates about my car from others team members both via email and my select car account. In my view a very well run company.
