About the Hyundai Bayon
First launched in 2021, the Bayon is a compact SUV-hatchback crossover that offers a ‘new perspective on urban style’, according to Hyundai.
It’s the smallest SUV in the firm’s line-up, sitting behind the larger Kona, and has a similar footprint to the Hyundai i20 while adopting a higher ride height.
Affordability is the name of the game with a Hyundai Bayon lease, as it’s powered by an economical 1.0-litre petrol engine.
Yet the Bayon still boasts a modern, elegant look - which comes complete with an LED Daytime Running Light bar integrated into the front.

The base Black Line trim boasts dark exterior styling elements (including 16-inch black alloys, privacy glass and black door mirrors), and comes with heated seats, heated steering wheel, twin 10.25-inch screens with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto , rear parking sensors, rear view camera, and safety tech such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Follow Assist and Lane Keep Assist.
Tech Line
The Tech Line grade adds larger 17-inch silver alloys, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, wireless phone charging, automatic air-conditioning, automatic wipers with rain sensor, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, front parking sensors.
You can also add the ‘Tech Pack’, which offers a BOSE sound system, windscreen acoustic film and an electric tilting and sliding glass sunroof.

There’s just one engine option when you lease the Hyundai Bayon. All variants come with an efficient 1.0-litre petrol engine that can return around 48 miles to the gallon and which boasts modest power of 90 PS. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission.
While the Hyundai Bayon was previously offered as a mild hybrid, the latest model is powered by a conventional 1.0-litre petrol engine that doesn’t have any form of electrification.
Running a Hyundai Bayon should prove affordable. The crossover’s 1.0-litre engine is capable of returning up to 48.7 miles to the gallon (for the DCT automatic model). It’s not the most powerful car in its class but it should be perfect for punchy urban driving.
The Hyundai Bayon comes with a boot that measures 411 litres. That’s slightly down on the 422 litres you get with a Nissan Juke or the 456 litres available with the Ford Puma.
All variants of the Hyundai Bayon come with a full suite of safety systems. They include - Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (with pedestrian and cyclist detection), Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Lane Follow Assist, Lane Keep Assist and emergency E Call.
