Peugeot is electrifying the nation’s roads, delivering more than 1,000 battery-powered vans in the UK this year.

But admirers will have to wait a little while yet to find out how far it’s capable of travelling on a single charge…

The government has extended its popular plug-in van grant for a further two years, offering savings of up to £16,000 against a new electric van until 2025.

The production-ready Volkswagen ID Buzz Cargo has been revealed and it’s an all-electric van that’s putting practicality and style on equal footing.

Maxus is investing £30 million to encourage van operators to make the switch to electric power, with a £15,000 subsidy available against the e Deliver 9 electric van.

It’ll come in two distinct guises - the five-seat ID. Buzz and the ID. Buzz Cargo van. And it’ll get its full reveal next month.

January sees Citroen extend its electric light commercial vehicle offering, with the introduction of the e-Berlingo compact van.

Ahead of it arriving with customers in June, order books for the UK’s first full hybrid petrol-electric van, the new Toyota Corolla Commercial, are now open.

With a bigger battery, the 2022 e-Vito now enjoys a huge boost in electric range.
