About the Kia Picanto
The appealing Kia Picanto first arrived in the UK back in 2004 and it has since gone on to become one of the firm’s longest-running and best-selling models.
Kia's smallest car offers ‘effortless, fun driving in the city’, according to Kia, while boasting ‘bold design to match your style’.
The sharp exterior borrows design elements from more premium Kia models while the well-equipped cabin comes as standard with features like an 8-inch touchscreen with sat nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a reversing camera.
Range-topping GT-Line S models also boast sportier exterior styling and extras like a tilting and sliding sunroof.
Why lease the Kia Picanto?
Your leasing choices with the Kia Picanto are refreshingly simple.
There’s just one engine across the board; a 1.0-litre petrol ‘GDi’ unit that produces 67bhp and which can be mated to either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearbox.
Then there are just three distinct trim levels; Pure, GT-Line and GT-Line S, with even the most affordable variants being well equipped as standard.
The Picanto is also, perhaps surprisingly, good fun to drive and offers sharp handling for the class.

Kia Picanto Frequently Asked Questions
The Kia Picanto comes exclusively with a 1.0-litre petrol engine with 67bhp and which can be allied to either a manual or automatic gearbox. That engine is standard on models across the three trim levels.
With the rear seats in place, the Kia Picanto offers 255 litres of boot space. That rises to 1,010 litres with the rear seats folded flat. How does that compare with rivals? The Hyundai i10 offers a similar 252 litres while the Toyota Aygo X has less capacity, at 231 litres.
The Kia Picanto should prove exceptionally cheap to run. Base models will fall into the lowest insurance group while the higher-spec GT-Line and GT-Line S variants are likely to attract a higher cost. The Kia Picanto is capable of returning up to 50 miles per gallon, with the manual gearbox, which should make it affordable for most.
When the Kia Picanto was last tested by industry safety assessors Euro NCAP it scored a 3 out of 5. That rating has, however, now expired. The GT-Line S trim is the one you want if safety is at the top of your leasing wishlist, as it comes with uprated driver assistance and safety tech that includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist.
While designed for the cut and thrust of urban commuting, the Kia Picanto should have no problems coping with longer motorway drives, though its smaller engine may need to be worked a little harder. It gets a top speed of around 98mph - more than enough for a motorway cruise.
