Jeep Avenger Review
An iconic American brand with a European makeover, packed into a compact, all-electric SUV.
Sleek urban style meets go-anywhere capability with the adventure-ready, Jeep Avenger.
The Avenger is a compact SUV crossover, and a strong rival to competitors like the Kia Niro EV, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, and the Vauxhall Mokka Electric. It's available with both a fully-electric powertrain as well as a more traditional petrol engine.
And whichever angle you view it from, the distinctive, muscular Avenger sees Jeep pushing new boundaries as a manufacturer.
The petrol-powered Avenger features a 1.2-litre engine offering up to 100 PS and which can also be leased with 'e-Hybrid' mild-hybrid electrification.
The fully-electric Avenger, meanwhile, makes use of a 54 kWh battery - slightly larger than the unit you’ll find in the Peugeot e-2008 - which translates to a range of around 250 miles between charges. Need to make sure your motor goes the distance? Check out our guide on official v. real-world battery range.
With power of 156 hp and 260 Nm of maximum torque on tap, the Avenger EV is punchy enough to satisfy most lease customers.
The Jeep Avenger EV supports rapid charging at speeds of 100 kWh DC, which will take the battery back to 80% full in as little as 30 minutes. Be sure to consult our guide on charging an electric car to get all the essential information.
Meanwhile using a typical home wallbox charger you can replenish the battery in around 5.5 hours.
The front-wheel drive Avenger still boasts all the poise and purpose of a 4x4, thanks to Jeep’s innovative ‘Selec-Terrain’ system, which is fitted as standard. The Selec-Terrain wizardry allows drivers to adapt the Avenger’s driving style depending on the conditions under the wheels, with settings including ‘Snow’, ‘Sand/Mud’, ‘Rock’, ‘Sport’ and ‘Tow’.
You can also lease a dedicated all-wheel drive Jeep Avenger in the form of the mild hybrid 4xe. In addition to power of 136 hp, the Avenger 4xe feature superior off-road performance, with improved off-road angles, an additional 10mm of ground clearance and the ability to wade through water up to 400mm deep.
The Avenger’s exterior features large 18 inch alloys, taut, an aggressive front end, and 360 degree body protection. You can also expect a hands-free, power-lift tailgate at the rear.
Inside the well-appointed cabin you’ll find ambient lighting, a 10.25 inch touch screen, and plenty of tech, including ‘Level 2’ autonomous driving capabilities based on adaptive cruise control and lane-centring skills, as well as all-round parking sensors and a rear-view camera.
Business lease customers also need to remember that because the electric Jeep Avenger has zero emissions at the tailpipe, it attracts an ultra-low Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax rate.

Amazing service! This was our first time leasing and our contact (Wezley Small) couldn't have done more to help. We will be recommending Select leasing to our friends and especially dealing with Wezley.
