BMW X1 Lease

The BMW X1 is the most compact SUV in the German marque’s range - sitting behind the X2 and the X3 in the line-up - but it’s also one of the most versatile. The X range has, over the last few years, been able to offer all the prestige and class of a BMW vehicle in an SUV format and the X1 safely carries on this tradition.

In 2020 lease customers saw the arrival of a new plug-in hybrid X1 - the xDrive25e - which offers an electric-only range of 32 miles as well as Co2 emissions as low as 40 g/km.

That equates to Benefit in Kind tax of just 11 per cent for the year 2021/22, and lease owners also get as much as 156 mpg in terms of fuel economy.

Elsewhere in the engine range the diesel sDrive18d offers a great mix of performance and frugality, returning 56mpg.

BMW X1 Lease gives you everything you could legitimately expect from a BMW vehicle with a whole host of added quality and some of the most extensive interior storage and space of any of its competitors.

And it’s a brilliant alternative to the Audi Q3 or Volvo XC40.

BMW X1 Frequently Asked Questions

Just because you want a small SUV doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice luxury and brand image. The BMW X1 brings all the premium appeal of the iconic German manufacturer to a compact size, with a footprint on your driveway no bigger than a hatchback. But the extra space of its SUV body style makes it practical for families, and it’s fun to drive too. Plus there’s a choice of trim levels and the option of petrol, diesel or plug-in hybrid power

With several trims and engine options to choose from, the monthly lease rates for the BMW X1 vary quite a bit. But whatever your budget, we can help. Select Car Leasing has market-leading links to the automotive industry, which gives you access to some of the country’s most competitive rates and lots of special offers. Check out the full list of BMW X1 lease deals to see which one best suits you.

The X1 promises all the appeal of larger, more expensive BMWs in a compact size. That means a great driving experience, a top-quality interior and, considering its diminutive proportions, impressive practicality. Four adults will have no trouble fitting in, and there’s a big enough boot for their luggage too. Meanwhile, a range of efficient but punchy petrol and diesel engines are available, or for those that want to really cut their fuel use, a plug-in hybrid model can run for more than 30 miles per battery charge on electric power alone.

The X1 was given the maximum five-star score by independent safety organisation Euro NCAP, although it should be mentioned that it was back in 2015, and standards have moved on a bit since then. Still, the X1 comes with plenty of standard safety features, including automatic emergency braking, which will intervene if you don’t react to an impending collision. When it comes to practicality, BMW has engineered lots of space into the X1’s small size, with an automatic boot lid on all models, a seriously large boot compared to rivals and lots of headroom and legroom in the back seats. Some models let you fold down the front passenger seat as well as the rear seats, which gives you loads of load-lugging capability. That could be very handy for those flat-pack furniture purchases.

There’s a good choice of different models in the X1 range, with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid power and two or four-wheel drive. When it comes to trim levels, the range starts with the SE, featuring 17-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights, as well as parking sensors front and rear. Next up is Sport, which has sports seats and 18-inch wheels, and X-Line, which adds leather seats and some extra styling features. M Sport has a racier vibe, with a bodykit and lowered, stiffer suspension for nippier handling. If you’re after the X1’s practicality with a bit more visual zing, check out the very similar X2, which loses a bit of interior space in favour of a more swish look.
