The dynamic i5 represents the first fully eclectic 5 Series from BMW. It’s underpinned by a 81.2 kWh battery that works in conjunction with a heat pump, which keeps the battery in peak condition while helping you to go the distance, even in cold weather.
The ‘eDrive40’ i5 offers a class-leading electric range, power of 340 hp, and a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 6.0 seconds.
A more powerful, all-wheel drive ‘M60 xDrive’ ups the power to 601 hp and brings the 0-62 mph sprint time down to just 3.8 seconds.
BMW says the i5 can be recharged at a DC speed of up to 205 kW, which can take the battery from 10 to 80% full in just 30 minutes.
Meanwhile BMW says the i5, in general, offers ‘sustainable premium mobility in the upper mid-range vehicle segment’.
Some of the interior flourishes include an innovative, interactive light bar that runs between the dashboard and the doors, a large infotainment screen with video streaming capabilities, as well as the opportunity to play video games using the BMW ‘AirConsole’.
Leasing the BMW i5 should also keep you safe, as it features a wealth of driver assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and even self-parking skills.
