About the Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid
Audi launched its Q5 Sportback e-hybrid in 2025 at the same time as the more traditionally-shaped Q5 SUV e-hybrid.
Like other Sportbacks in the Audi range, the Q5 Sportback e-hybrid adopts a sleek coupe stance, with a sloping rear giving it a sporty, dynamic silhouette.
Despite its tapered roofline, the Q5 Sportback e-hybrid loses little on its SUV sibling when it comes to luggage space, with a 433-litre boot comparing well to the SUV’s 438 litres.
There’s also ample room in the rear for passengers, aided by a sliding rear bench of seats that lets you prioritise either passenger comfort or cargo space.
Why lease the Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid?
The main reason you’d choose to lease the Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid over the regular, traditionally-fuelled Audi Q5 Sportback is its plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Power of 299 PS enables the Q5 SUV e-hybrid to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 6.2 seconds while you also get a 61-mile electric range and wallet-friendly fuel economy.
There are two drive modes; EV and Hybrid. In EV mode, the Q5 e-hybrid runs on electric power alone and gets a top speed of 87 mph.
The Hybrid button maintains a specific charge level as needed in order to save enough electrical energy for later use, while also taking your planned route into consideration.

Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid Frequently Asked Questions
The main difference between the Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid and Q5 SUV e-hybrid is the exterior body shape. The Sportback model adopts a sportier, more coupe-like stance with its sloping rear end. The Q5 SUV e-hybrid has the more traditional shape of a regular SUV. Both cars share the same 299 PS plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Despite its sloping rear roofline, the Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid has ample space in the back for rear passengers. That’s aided by a sliding and tilting rear bench of seats, which is fitted as standard on all models, and lets you find the perfect balance between legroom and boot space.
The Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid is a powerful plug-in hybrid that’s underpinned by a 2.0-litre petrol engine, 25.9 kWh battery and electric motor. It has an EV driving range of up to 61 miles in the Q5 Sportback e-hybrid. You can recharge the battery from flat to full using a 11 kW charger in around 2.5 hours.
When the brake pedal is pressed during deceleration, the Q5 Sportback e-hybrid can recover up to 88 kW of power and feed it into the battery. When operated as a generator, the electric motor accounts for more than 90 percent of all deceleration processes. The hydraulic wheel brakes are only used for harder braking manoeuvres. This has no effect on the braking feel for the driver, as the brake pedal and brake hydraulics are decoupled.
All variants of the Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid are all-wheel drive and feature the manufacturer’s famous ‘Quattro’ 4x4 system.
