Chinese manufacturer GWM launched the POER300 pick-up (it’s pronounced ‘Power 300’) in 2025 in a bid to compete with market heavyweights like the Ford Ranger and Isuzu D-Max.
Having already been available in other global markets (sometimes known as the ‘Cannon Ute’), GWM says the POER300 ranks in the top 10 best-selling pick-ups globally and has ‘quickly gained a reputation amongst owners for its overall performance and value for money’.
Affordably priced, the hard-working POER300 is built for the graft, featuring a full-time 4x4 system with low-range capability.
It’s powered by a robust 2.4-litre diesel engine and also enjoys a 1,000kg payload and 3,500kg braked towing capacity.
