Ever popular Seat Ibiza with over 30 years of success

The Ibiza is the big business for Seat and for its parent company Volkswagen. After the Volkswagen brand itself, Audi and Skoda; Seat sells more vehicles than any other Volkswagen Group brand including Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini.

The Ibiza is one of the Seat’s most popular models, representing over 30 years of success and over 40 percent of the brand’s sales worldwide. The current Seat Ibiza was introduced back in 2008 and underwent a facelift in 2011. So the company is giving a fresh updates.

Exterior look:

The Spanish brand’s Ford Fiesta rival will continue to be offered in three-door SC (Sport Coupe), five-door and estate ST(Sport Tourer) forms. It benefits from different headlights that now include LED daytime running lights, two fresh alloy wheel designs and couple of new paint colours including chilli red and moonstone silver.

Upgraded interior:

The exterior updates are mild, but Seat has addressed the interior which is thoroughly equipped with Easy Connect systems, media systems plus and satellite navigation system can be enhanced with MirrorLink function which provides seamless smartphone integration into the car infotainment system. SEAT says the system is operated by a new, easier-to-use interface and works with both Apple and Android smartphones, integrating with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

On top of this, there is also more safety kit, including a new Tiredness Recognition system to monitor driver fatigue on the move. A multi-collision brake automatically slows down the car after a crash and prevents you from collision.

The new Ibiza offers a new individual colour pack to suit every personal need. Seat has updated the cabin to nudge the Ibiza’s cockpit upmarket a little with softer-touch materials.

New generation of engines:

Seat has revised its engine range now offering a three cylinder 74bhp(brake horse power) 1.0 litre petrol engine to a 148bhp 1.4 litre Eco TSI with the cleanest 1.4 TDI diesel engine being capable of 83 miles per gallon and 88 grams per kilometre of CO2.

Release date and Price:

The new Ibiza is due on sale this autumn 2015. The prices have not been announced yet, however we would expect them to be around £11,500 as a basic list price for an entry level model.
