About the Peugeot 208

First launched in 2012 to replace the old 207, the Peugeot 208 is a popular compact hatchback that slots into the firm’s range behind the larger Peugeot 308.

The Peugeot 208 was recently facelifted and revamped and the relaunch brought improvements to the exterior style as well as new mild-hybrid petrol engines.

Those mild-hybrid units can, according to Peugeot, lower fuel consumption by as much as 15%.

Meanwhile an eye-catching 10-inch infotainment touchscreen is also now fitted as standard.

Why lease a Peugeot 208?

You lease a Peugeot 208 because you want to sit behind the wheel of one of the best-looking compact hatchbacks on the leasing market.

The 208’s shape has constantly evolved since launch, and Peugeot has done a fantastic job of making it stand out when compared to rivals.

Mild-hybrid engines are available to keep your fuel bills down, while power of up to 145 hp will ensure you always keep up with traffic.

PureTech 100

This mid-range petrol engine offers power of 100 hp and a six-speed transmission.

HYBRID 110

HYBRID 145

Here the 1.2-litre petrol engine combines with a small electric motor to produce a combined 145 hp.

Which Peugeot 208 trim level should I lease?

The range was revised in 2025 to leave the following trim levels:

Peugeot 208 Frequently Asked Questions

If you are after an exciting, small, family hatchback, but you don’t want the cost of buying a brand-new Peugeot 208 outright, leasing could provide the answer. It is a form of car ownership that’s becoming ever more popular in the UK. It allows you to spread payments out over a pre-agreed period, saving you money and letting you choose a nicer car than you might otherwise have budgeted for. Even better, the stresses over depreciation become a thing of the past because we take care of that when you hand the car back at the end of your lease.

There are several different models and engines to choose from on the Peugeot 208, which will heavily influence the final price. But, because there are many options, it should mean there’s a selection available to suit all budgets, tastes, and requirements. Furthermore, thanks to our impressive networks within the automotive industry, we can source vehicles with substantial discounts, meaning we can pass on the savings to you. Please look at our website to view our latest offers and car lease deals available nationwide. Then, begin putting together your preferred Peugeot 208 specification.

The Peugeot 208 features a plethora of equipment as standard. The car includes the latest technology, as well as stylish, attractive exterior looks and a modern, technologically focused interior. It also comes with a range of options in terms of features, depending on trim level. Additionally, the 208 features the latest safety systems and driver assistance technology to keep you safe on the road. Have a look at the model description at the top of the page to learn more about the specific features available in your preferred trim. Then, begin putting together your ideal Peugeot 208.

The Peugeot 208 aims to keep you and your loved ones protected on the road. It features state-of-the-art safety systems and driver assistance technology, including lane-keeping assist and speed limit recognition on all models. The Peugeot 208 has been put through the wringer by the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) and scored highly. It has five doors and a civilised amount of room inside when you consider it’s a small car. The 208 also has a decent-sized and easily accessible boot, making it a practical choice for families.

Numerous trim levels are available on the Peugeot 208, based on your needs and budget, with several options also available in terms of engines and gearboxes. If you are feeling green, an all-electric version is available, too. Sportier looking models are available further up the trim levels, including more powerful engines. However, you can rest assured that even the entry-level trims offer a significant level of equipment as standard. They include the latest technology, safety systems and driver assistance equipment, though more safety kit is available on trims higher up the range.
