The MG4 EV Urban is a cheaper, more city-friendly version of the award-winning MG4 EV.
Prices begin at £23,495 (at the time of writing) which makes it one of the most affordable electric vehicles currently available in the UK.
Besides its lower asking price compared with the regular MG4 EV, the Urban model boasts a more minimalist design, with a shorter bonnet, rounder nose and less prominent air intakes.
In terms of its size, the MG4 EV Urban is slightly longer than the MG4 EV, though the two cars offer similar levels of interior space.

It also seeks to outperform all other vehicles in the class when it comes to space for both passengers and luggage.
There’s generous headroom for all occupants (997mm at the front and 957mm at the rear), ample amounts of legroom in the back (984mm leg room and 107mm knee room), while a 479-litre boot is more cavernous than key rivals, including the Nissan Micra EV or BYD Dolphin.
The MG4 EV Urban is also well equipped, with all models coming with a 12.8-inch HD touchscreen, a 7-inch driver display, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
A choice of two batteries (42.8 Wh or 53.9 kWh) provide a range of either 201 miles or 258 miles between charges.
The entry-level Comfort Standard Range trim features the smaller battery but offers 16-inch alloys, a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch driver display, and reversing camera. A heat pump comes as standard.
The Comfort Long Range trim adds the larger 53.9 kWh battery for a range of up to 258 miles of electric driving.
The range-topping Premium trim adds extras such as larger 17-inch alloys, a 360-degree panoramic camera, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and wireless phone charging.

There are three trims available with the MG4 EV Urban: Comfort Standard Range, Comfort Long Range and Premium Long Range. The Standard Range trim has a smaller battery and reduced range compared with the Long Range variants.
The Comfort Standard Range model uses a 43 kWh battery with around 201 miles WLTP range. The Long Range versions use a 54 kWh battery offering about 258 miles WLTP range. Performance is modest for both variants, with up to 160 PS and a 0-62mph acceleration time of around 9.5 seconds.
The MG4 EV Urban is capable of charging at speeds up to 150 kW DC, which is highly competitive for the class. A 20-80% charge will take around 30 minutes.
