The Leapmotor B05 is an affordable electric hatchback that impresses when it comes to range, equipment and room in the back for rear passengers.
It’s a rival to other hatchback EVs like the MG4 EV, Vauxhall Astra Electric, and Peugeot E-308 while also competing with traditionally-fuelled foes like the VW Golf and Kia K4.
While Leapmotor is a Chinese manufacturer, the B05 has been specifically honed for European roads, coming with an innovative integrated rear multi-link suspension arrangement and 50:50 weight distribution.

One of the B05’s strongest suits is the fact it’s offered in just one, all-encompassing trim level - like other models in Leapmotor's range, including the B10 SUV.

All models feature 19-inch alloys, panoramic roof, auto air con, 14.6-inch touchscreen, smartphone mirroring, wireless phone charging, 12-speaker audio system, eco-leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.
The MG4 EV is a compact, all-electric hatchback from MG Motor UK, built around four key principles: ‘space, technology, affordability and driving quality’. You can expect a range of up to 281 miles between charges.
