The KGM Musso EV combines the financial benefits of an electric vehicle with the versatility of a pick-up and the ride comfort of a regular SUV.
It’s a vehicle aimed at both business and lifestyle lease customers who need capability without compromise.
An all-wheel drive powertrain features an 80.6kWh battery sourced from BYD and offers a range of up to 240 miles, as well as rapid 300 kW DC charging.
A monocoque platform (rather than a ladder-frame chassis as used in most pick-ups) means it handles and drives like a typical passenger car while load sensitive and self-levelling rear suspension adds to its agile road-going abilities.
The Musso EV builds on 55 years of pick-up know-how from Korean manufacturer KGM (formerly known as SsangYong) and sits alongside the traditionally-fuelled Musso in the firm’s range.
It’s an electric pick-up designed for both work and leisure, coming with a 690 kg payload and 2.3-tonne towing capacity.
That payload is down compared with others in the class, but the load bed itself is similar in size to the diesel Musso, being slightly narrower and shallower.
Lease customers will enjoy car-like levels of equipment in the cabin (there’s just one fully-loaded trim level) including twin 12.3-inch screens, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated seats in the rear.

The KGM Musso EV is a fully electric pick-up truck developed by Korean manufacturer KGM (formerly SsangYong). It combines the practicality of a work pick-up with zero-emission electric driving and SUV-style comfort.
The Musso EV is powered by an 80.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery designed for durability and safety. This battery powers either a dual-motor electric drivetrain for full time all-wheel drive.
The KGM Musso EV has an EV driving range of up to 240 miles between charges. That figure will vary depending on driving style, load, and weather conditions.
The Musso EV supports both home and rapid charging. DC fast charging speeds reach 300 kW DC, enabling a 20-80% charge in 31 minutes. AC home charging (11 kW) will take roughly 10 hours for a full charge.
In the UK, the KGM Musso has a power output of 207 PS and 339 Nm of torque, which delivers a 0-62 mph time of 7.98 seconds.
As it’s a pick-up designed for both leisure and work, the 690 kg payload is down on other double-cab rivals. But you still get a 750 kg unbraked and 2,300 kg braked towing capacity.
