About the Jaecoo E5
The Jaecoo E5 arrived in 2025 as the manufacturer’s first all-electric SUV, sitting alongside the traditionally-fuelled Jaecoo 5.
Both Jaecoo and Omoda are sub-brands of the same manufacturer - Chinese giant Chery - which means the Jaecoo E5 is a sibling to the similarly-sized Omoda E5.
The Jaecoo E5, however, is designed for lease customers who want a ‘more rugged, outdoors-focused SUV’, the firm says, as opposed to the urban-focused Omoda E5.
As such, the Jaecoo E5 even comes with a dedicated ‘Pet Mode’, which keeps the cabin at a safe temperature for your four-legged friend when you’re parked.
Why lease the Jaecoo E5?
The Jaecoo E5 is both affordable and stylish, with the design of the electric SUV often likened to the upmarket Range Rover Evoque.
The E5 is underpinned by a 61.1 kWh battery that offers a range of up to 248 miles between charges.
The compact SUV supports public fast charging at 80 kWh, which can top the battery from 30 to 80% in around 27 minutes while the standard 11 kW AC charger makes overnight charging at home effortless.
A ‘digital-first’ cabin is built around a 13.2-inch high-definition portrait touchscreen and the ‘Hi Jaecoo’ voice assistant. Standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 540‑degree panoramic camera system, and app-based remote controls.
