The DS 4 is a sleek, high-riding hatchback-SUV crossover that stands out from the crowd thanks to its elegant styling and premium interior.
First launched under the Citroen banner in 2011, the DS 4 is available with a host of different powertrains, from traditional petrol and diesel engines to a frugal plug-in hybrid system.
A self-charging 'HYBRID' unit also joined the engine line-up in 2024, which marries a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 28hp electric motor to offer improved performance, lower CO2 emissions and increased fuel efficiency.
The plug-in hybrid DS 4 is particularly potent, boasting power of 225 PS and a rapid acceleration time of 0-62mph in just 7.7 seconds.
Entry-level examples of the DS 4 are also well equipped as standard, coming with a 10-inch HD touchscreen, 7-inch digital display, front and rear parking sensors, a head-up display, front and rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, 19-inch alloys and a sumptuous cabin that's swathed in black Alcantara.
You can also expect the extensive DS 'Safety Pack', which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and intelligent speed adaptation, among other features.
The DS4 slots into the the DS range between the smaller DS 3 and the larger DS 7 luxury crossover. Meanwhile the DS4 competes in the leasing market with the likes of the Audi Q3, BMW X2, and the CUPRA Formentor.
