About the BYD Atto 2
The BYD Atto 2 arrived on the leasing market in 2025 as a smaller sibling to the the larger BYD Atto 3.
The Atto 2 is a compact, urban SUV that competes with the likes of Kia EV3, Volvo EX30 and the Vauxhall Frontera Electric - and boasts similar dimensions to those rivals (4,310mm length/1,830mm width/1,675mm height).
There’s a choice of two battery sizes, a 51.1kWh unit (range of up to 214 miles) or a larger 64.8kWh pack (range of up to 261 miles).
Both of those battery options are built with BYD’s patented ‘Blade’ tech, which is designed to improve rigidity, space, and safety.
Why lease the BYD Atto 2?
BYD says its Atto 2 is a small, wallet-friendly SUV that offers a premium ‘big car’ feel.
To back up that claim, the Atto 2 comes as standard with a wealth of equipment, including a rotatable 12.8-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, a heat pump, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, which enables owners to power external devices such as a coffee machine or lawnmower.
A 155kW on-board DC charger is fitted as standard, allowing the Atto 2 to charge from 30 to 80% in as little as 21 minutes.
As for BYD, it might not be a brand you’re familiar with but the powerhouse Chinese manufacturer leads global EV sales, out-muscling Tesla.

Joe was fantastic throughout, process was seamless. Great service.
I would have given you 5 stars but for the constant Spam phone calls from your number. I've received 6 calls since Monday, all of them marked as Spam. Even though I've made it clear that I don't want to receive any more calls I've received another call this morning PLEASE STOP CALLING ME. I've made my preference to be contacted by email only clear to your representatives in the past. Please respect this.
The process was really quick and very easy to navigate. Special thanks to Karl Nunn who was incredibly helpful and helped me find the car I was looking for within budget.
