BMW iX3 Lease

The BMW iX3 is a sporty, all-electric compact SUV that comes incredibly well-specced as standard.

And as a rival to the Audi e-tron, Mercedes-Benz EQC or the Jaguar I-PACE, the iX3 offers stiff competition in terms of both performance and range.

The iX3 enjoyed a major refresh for 2021, an eye-catching makeover which brought the exterior styling more in line with the more upmarket BMW iX SUV and BMW i4 coupe.

This fresh, visually-striking appearance includes a large front kidney grille with pearl-effect chrome and a blue accent, sharper headlight contours, larger lower air intakes and a rear apron with what BMW describes as having a ‘muscular’ stance.

And the great news for lease customers is that the iX3 is a wholly practical SUVs for busy families - in part thanks to a huge 510 litre boot.

An 80kWh battery delivers a range of up to 285 miles between charges while the iX3 also offers a spirited drive. You can expect power of 286 hp, peak torque of 400 Nm and a 0-62mph acceleration time of just 6.8 seconds.

The BMW iX3 uses something called ‘eDrive technology’ which features an innovative charging unit that sends power to both the 400V battery and the 12V on-board power supply.

This enables both single-phase and three-phase charging at up to 11 kW. And when using a fast charging system, it means the battery can be replenished from 0-80 per cent of its charge in just 34 minutes. Drivers can inject the power required to add 62 miles to the car’s driving range in around 10 minutes.

Meanwhile M Sport models come fully-loaded with 19 inch alloy wheels, an automatic tailgate, adaptive suspension, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof and a suite of driver assistance systems.

All models also get BMW’s fully-connected ‘Operating System 7’, which allows for every line of software code in the car to be updated over the air in the future.

Lease customers considering an all-electric SUV like the BMW iX3 should also remember that you’ll pay just 1% Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax for the year 2021-22 thanks to zero CO2 emissions.

BMW iX3 Frequently Asked Questions

BMW’s small SUVs have long been popular for UK leasing customers, but with the iX3 BMW brings an all-electric option to the market. Essentially a zero-emission version of the X3, it keeps the mix of premium appeal and family practicality that the X3 offers, as well as the engaging driving experience. But the petrol and diesel engines are gone, replaced with an electric motor and battery that will give you up to 285 miles of range on a single charge.

The iX3 was all-new to the market in 2021. With a premium badge, lots of standard features and some cutting-edge technology, it’s not going to be the most affordable mid-sized SUV to lease. But you can be confident that, thanks to the market-leading links that Select Car Leasing has to the automotive industry, you’ll have access to some of the UK’s most competitive rates and special offers. Have a look at the full list of BMW iX3 lease deals to see which model best suits you.

BMW customers love the X3, but with the world increasingly embracing electric vehicles, they were clamouring for a zero-emission model. The iX3 doesn’t dramatically change a successful formula, which means you still get lots of space for passengers in the front and rear seats, and a good-sized boot too. But the key feature is the powertrain. BMW has added a beefy 286 horsepower electric motor and an 80kWh battery that can give you up to 285 miles of driving before it needs recharging. WIth fast-charging capability, just 10 minutes plugged in at a public station can give you an extra 55 miles of range.

The regular BMW X3 was tested by independent safety organisation Euro NCAP in 2017 and was awarded the maximum five-star score. While the iX3 has a few different components, we’d be pretty confident that it’ll perform as well. All models get lots of standard safety features to avoid accidents and keep you safe if one does occur. Practicality-wise, BMW has managed to avoid the risk of losing space because of bulky batteries, with more boot space in the iX3 than the plug-in hybrid X3, and space for two adults in the back. Three grown-ups will be a bit of a squeeze, although three kids will be fine.

There are just two trim levels to choose from in the iX3. The M Sport model has sporty styling inside and out, heated seats and 19-inch alloy wheels, while the M Sport Pro upgrades things with 20-inch wheels, a Harman/Kardon sound system and a head-up display, which projects driving information directly onto the windscreen. It also gets stylish, stealthy black exterior trimmings, rather than the chrome on the regular M Sport.

Don't just take our word for it. We're rated at 4.9/5 on independent reviews website Trustpilot from over 27,049 genuine customer reviews

In March I ordered a car advertised in stock from Select Car Leasing, NISSAN_QASHQAI. When, I spoke to the dealer they informed me that the car in stock had grey metalized paint and it would increase the cost by approximately £600. Since I needed the car for April, I agreed. After several emails and phone calls I was reassured that the car was in stock and ready to be delivered in April. On the 5th of April however I had an email saying that it was going to be delayed till the end of May. Despite my disappointment I continued with the order and received yet a further delay in May with another email saying that the car will be delayed till July. Whilst I considered cancelling my order I persisted with hope until I received the latest email declaring that the car would be now delayed till September. The reason I was given for the delay was that parts of the car came from abroad and they had not arrived yet. This left me in shock considering that when I ordered the car in March I was told the car was already in stock and ready for delivery. When I questioned the delay in the order, I was given the following 2 options: One, I could cancel the order, leaving me with no car, no future order and having wasted several months waiting for a car that would never arrive. Two they could arrange me to have a hire car with the following conditions: The hire car would cost £350 per month in comparison to £180 that I had agreed on my order. I had to pick up the car from Reading, 200 miles away from where I live, with no possibility of delivery. This has left me with no car and having extreme difficulty to commute to work. Throughout the full experience I have found this company very unreliable and they have struggled to deliver on their promises. They do not appear to cope well with small individual orders. Their web page is also very misleading with the prices, and you seem to never get the price that they advertise. I believe that this should be checked by the regulatory body. Finally the company appears to treat their customers with contempt where they make up excuses to cover their incompetency. Whatever went wrong with my original stock order should have been be transparently explained. This would have saved a lot of time and this complaint would not have been necessary.

Hi Sonia Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear of you disappointment that your vehicle was delayed for delivery and that you feel our service to you was not up to your expectations. As an introducing broker and we are dependent upon 3rd parties such as our supplying dealerships and manufactures to supply our vehicles. As such, we are reliant upon them to provide us accurate lead times in relation to their vehicles. They also provide us with updates and notification of any delays to a customer’s delivery directly though our online customer portal. It is worth noting, that the manufactures and supplying dealerships do withhold their right to amend the delivery dates at their discretion, which does in turn affect the information we provide. Due to this delivery dates can change and this does sadly fall outside of our control. Despite this, we will always aim to keep our customers updated with the most accurate and up to date information as soon as it becomes available to us and we understand that delivery delays of this nature can present an unacceptable level of inconvenience to our customers. Select will provide all the assistance we can to our customers, in order to help keep them mobile during any delivery delays and offer what suitable alternatives are available to us. We do take all feedback from our customers seriously and to wish to make sure that our customers are satisfied with our service and provided with accurate and up to date information on delivery lead times. We always want to make sure that we have provided all necessary information to our customers, in order for them to make an informed decision before placing an order. Our team would like to investigate the issues you have raised in your review. Please give us the opportunity to investigate the points and provided a response. A member of our management team will be in contact with you shortly to discuss the issues you have highlighted in your review and offer our assistance where possible. In the meantime, should you have any further questions, please contact reviews@selectcarleasing.co.uk and a member of the team will be happy to help
