Audi A5 Frequently Asked Questions
The Audi A5 is a very classy family car, available in both three-door coupe and five-door hatchback versions, as well as a two-door convertible model. But that means it’s not the most affordable car to buy outright.
That’s why you should look at leasing, which is becoming more popular in the UK, and could get you into a top-drawer Audi for less than you might expect. You won’t need to worry about the depreciation that can plague owners, but you still get the same level of quality, safety and cutting-edge tech from the Audi A5 range.
Between three different body styles and a range of engines and trim levels, there’s a wide range of choice in the Audi A5 range, and that means there’s a car to suit lots of different monthly budgets.
Thanks to your market-leading links to the automotive industry, Select Car Leasing can get you a wide range of special offers and the most competitive deals in the country. Check out the full list of the current Audi A5 lease deals, and see which one suits you the best.
Audi’s A5 is, in effect, a slightly sportier, sexier version of the A4. It has sleeker styling, and comes in coupe, hatchback Sportback, and convertible Cabriolet body styles, but retains much of the premium appeal and quality of the A4. Leasers can choose from a range of trims and engines.
All are well-equipped with some of the latest tech to entertain, inform and keep you safe, but some focus more on comfort and value-for-money. If you want, instead, to put your priorities on performance, then check out the powerful S5 and RS 5 models, which have the horsepower to match serious sports cars.
Because the Audi A5 shares so much mechanically with the Audi A4, we can take the safety record of the latter for the former. The A4 was tested by independent safety organisation Euro NCAP in 2015 and scored the maximum five stars. Since then Audi has added even more safety kit to keep you and your occupants safe.
When it comes to practicality, you’ll get the most luggage in the hatchback version, which has a large, wide boot. That said, the boot in the coupe model is a good size too, and while the back of the Cabriolet isn’t quite as capacious, it’ll still carry a couple of weekend bags.
You can fit two adults in the back of the A5 Cabriolet too, which isn’t something all convertibles can manage.
With such a broad range of models in the A5 range, you’ll first have to decide whether you want the two-door coupe, the five-door hatchback, or the convertible. Then you’ve got four choices of trim level, starting with the entry-level Sport and moving through S line, Black Edition and Vorsprung, which add bigger wheels and more luxurious features along the way.
Then there’s the S5 and RS 5 models, which have their own trim levels, and are only made in coupe and Sportback form. S5s come in standard, Black Edition and Vorsprung, while the RS 5 can be specced in standard, Carbon Black or top-spec Vorsprung.
