In a nutshell:
- Special edition Juke ENIGMA features Amazon Alexa interface as standard, the first time it’s ever appeared in a Nissan
- Eye-catching decals on the roofline and wing mirrors add exterior bling
- Blacked-out 19-inch ‘Akari’ alloys come as standard
- The ENIGMA hits dealerships this month
“Alexa, show me the latest innovation to be added to one of the UK’s best-selling vehicles…”
Yep, Nissan has added Amazon Alexa compatibility to one of its cars for the first time ever with the new Juke ‘ENIGMA’ special edition.
And what’s more, the ENIGMA also benefits from plenty of new exterior styling tweaks, including huge 19-inch, blacked-out alloy wheels and intricate, eye-catching decals for the roofline and wing mirrors.
The Juke recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and pretty much single-handedly spawned the now-ubiquitous compact crossover SUV.
With no less than 21 different interior and exterior combinations, as well as a punchy 1.0 turbo-charged, three-cylinder petrol engine, the standard car already has bags of personality.
Now this ENIGMA version simply ups the ante - and voice control by way of Amazon Alexa is a welcome addition.
In case you’re wondering, you can also get Amazon Alexa in certain BMW, Audi and Ford models, too.
There’s a range of different functions available, from sending addresses from your home Alexa to your car’s sat-nav system, to finding out how much fuel you have left and figuring out where you parked your car.
All in all, Nissan promises an ‘effortless infotainment experience on-board with the addition of Alexa’s Nissan Skill compatibility’.
Away from the tech, the ENIGMA looks the part.
Nissan boasts about the car’s ‘dark, futuristic styling’. And while that might be a stretch, it’s distinctive enough.
The 19-inch ‘Akari’ alloy wheels give the ENIGMA a sportier stance, while bespoke, intricate graphic patterns adorn the coupe-style roof line and door mirrors.
There’s also ENIGMA graphics on the C-pillars, and you can spec the car in three different colours - Gun Metallic Grey, pearlescent Storm White with a Black roof, or all black.
A Nissan spokesperson comments: “With the launch of the all-new ENIGMA special version, Nissan Juke continues to push the boundaries of bold design, bringing a new level of style to the iconic compact crossover.
“Expanding Juke’s suite of advanced technologies, ENIGMA also introduces Amazon Alexa voice experience compatibility to the Juke range for the first time.”
It’s priced from £23,195 and is available in dealerships this month.
