Japanese leading auto manufacturer Mitsubishi have revealed the first images and initial details of their all-new SUV called Eclipse Cross – making its world premiere at next week’s Geneva Motor Show.
The Eclipse cross is inspired by the XR PHEV concept and will sit above the ASX and Outlander models in the brand’s line-up. The Outlander PHEV has crossed all the barriers and become one of the best hybrid SUVs available to drive in today’s market. The new Eclipse cross has been designed with the same idea to boost more company sales in a growing auto market.
Basically, the Eclipse cross is a 4*4 SUV featuring a coupe styled design with muscular wings, short overhang and forward racked rear window giving an athletic appearance. As with all smarter cars nowadays, the new Eclipse cross will also feature a tablet-like infotainment display and new head up display, 60:40 split rear seats.
It also includes Apple Car Play and Android Auto smartphone mirroring apps to allow the driver to access different types of information conveniently and safety. The car looks spacious inside and the dashboard area seems quite clean.
It is to be offered with all-wheel drive technology and two powertrains – one is a 1.5 litre petrol powered automatic engine and the other is 2.2 litre turbocharged diesel paired with an eight speed automatic transmission.
UK Launch date, pricing & Specifications:
Mitsubishi confirmed that the Eclipse cross is all set to hit UK market in early 2018 with pricing and full specification details to be announced on a later date.
