First launched in 2024, the Symbioz joined Renault’s growing ranks of sophisticated SUV-hatchback crossovers.
It sits in the French firm’s line-up between the compact Captur the sleek Austral.
And with an emphasis on fuel economy and interior space, the full hybrid Symbioz will appeal to families looking to travel in style.
The Symbioz is well equipped as standard, with entry-level models featuring 18-inch alloys, a 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google services built-in, and wireless phone charging.
The Renault Symbioz ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to comfortable everyday motoring and has been designed with the firm’s ‘voiture à vivre’ - aka ‘cars for living’ - philosophy in mind.
The self-charging E-Tech 160 hybrid powertrain offers silent electric driving in town while helping to keep overall fuel economy high at around 60 mpg.
A mild hybrid 140 engine is also an option and available exclusively with the entry-level Techno trim.
A boot measuring up to 624 litres - when the rear bench of seats is slid forward - is right up there with the very best in the class.
The Symbioz also comes with a full suite of driver assistance and safety tech as standard, including adaptive cruise control, active emergency braking, and emergency lane keep assist.
The Symbioz’s E-Tech 160 full hybrid engine offers power of 160 hp courtesy of a 1.8-litre petrol engine and a 1.4 kWh battery. It never needs to be plugged in and can return in excess of 60 miles to the gallon while emitting just 97 g/km of CO2.
A mild hybrid 140 petrol engine is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. It's available exclusively with the entry-level Techno trim and is underpinned by a 1.3-litre petrol engine. You can expect fuel economy of up to 48 miles to the gallon and CO2 emissions of 133 g/km.
The entry-level Techno Renault Symbioz boasts 18-inch alloys, a 10.4-inch touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital driver display, a sliding rear bench of seats, wireless phone charging, a rear view camera, and safety systems such as adaptive cruise control and active emergency braking.
The mid-range Techno Esprit Alpine grade adds larger 19-inch alloys, uprated interior styling, sports pedals and footrest, hands-free powered tailgate, heated front seats, and adaptive cruise control with lane centering assist.
Range-topping Iconic Esprit Alpine models enjoy a ‘Solarbay’ panoramic glass sunroof that goes from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button, a 360 degree camera, hands-free parking, and an uprated Harman Kardon sound system.
