About the Polestar 5
The Polestar 5 is a four-door electric coupe that showcases the Swedish car brand’s expertise when it comes to cutting-edge tech and commitment to sustainability.
Sitting at the summit of the Polestar leasing range, the Polestar 5 is underpinned by a hot-cured bonded aluminium platform that gives it torsional rigidity higher than that of a two-seat sports car, and even some supercars.
It’s primarily a four-seat EV - described as having a ‘4+1’ seating arrangement - though you can lift the armrest in the rear to create room for an extra passenger.
As with the Polestar 4 coupe-SUV, the Polestar 5 does away with a traditional glass screen at the rear, opting instead for a digital rear view mirror and virtual rear window, while the panoramic roof is the largest ever fitted to a Polestar.
A dual motor set-up means all examples of the Polestar 5 are all-wheel drive.
Why lease the Polestar 5?
A Polestar 5 lease offers the best of all worlds when it comes to performance, EV driving range, charging speed and safety.
The base dual motor Polestar offers a range of up to 416 miles between charges as well as power of 748hp, enough to see it accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds.
Performance variants up the power to 884hp, drop the 0-62mph time to 3.2 seconds, and still retain a range of up to 351 miles.
The Polestar 5 also wears its green credentials proudly on its sleeve. It’s built using 13% recycled aluminium and 83% aluminium from smelters utilising renewable electricity while natural fibre materials are used throughout the interior.
Even the optional Bridge of Weir Nappa leather upholstery is created with hides that are by-products of the food industry.

Polestar 5 Frequently Asked Questions
There are two main variants of the Polestar 5; the standard Long Range Dual Motor model and the Long Range Performance. The base Dual Motor Polestar 5 is capable of travelling up to 416 miles on a single charge. The Polestar 5 Performance has a range of up to 351 miles between charges.
All variants of the Polestar 5 boast rapid acceleration. Dual Motor models can sprint from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds while Performance variants reduce the 0-62mph time to just 3.2 seconds. All versions of the Polestar 5 have an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph.
Performance models of the Polestar 5 feature adaptive MagneRide dampers, which use magnetically controlled fluid to instantly adjust suspension stiffness. This allows the car to balance ride comfort with precise handling, automatically adapting to road conditions in real time. The base Dual Motor Polestar 5 opts for a more traditional suspension set up with hydraulic rebound stops and high capacity passive dampers.
The Polestar 5 supports fast DC charging at up to 350 kW, which can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in around 22 minutes. AC home charging at up to 11 kW is supported and a full recharge takes 11 hours.
There’s a huge emphasis on comfort and safety with the Polestar 5. The cabin of the Polestar 5 boasts a staggered seating configuration that offers optimum shoulder space while a ‘foot garage’ (a cut out in the battery), behind the front seats provides extra legroom. The standard list of equipment includes heated, full power seats with 12-way adjustment in the front, electric reclining seats in the rear, 4-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, 14.5-inch portrait centre, 9-inch driver display and a digital rear-view mirror. The list of standard-issue safety tech includes 12 ultrasonic sensors (front, rear, and sides), a 360-degree camera with 3D view, rear-view HD camera, adaptive cruise control and a lane keeping aid.
