About the Nissan Micra
The Nissan Micra was first launched in the UK back in 1983 - and it’s a family hatchback with real staying power.
Overhauled and reinvented for the modern age in 2025, the latest sixth-generation Micra is now fully-electric, offering a range of up to 260 miles between charges and which takes some of its style cues from the frog-eyed Micra of the 1990s.
The Nissan Micra is very much a companion car to the Renault 5, with an alliance between the two manufacturers meaning both vehicles share the same ‘AmpR’ electric platform.
The Micra does, however, pip the Renault 5 to the post when it comes to range, with a slightly elevated figure.

Engage
Engage grade cars come with the smaller 40 kWh battery. Standard equipment includes 18-inch alloys, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, automatic air conditioning, an audio system with four speakers, and a heat pump.
Advance
The Advanced trim gives you a choice of either the 40 kWh battery or the larger 52 kWh battery. It also boasts uprated ‘Ionic’ 18-inch alloys, Google services built in to the infotainment system, adaptive cruise control, wireless phone charging, ‘Multisense’ drive modes, ambient lighting, an improved sound system, front parking sensors and a rear-view camera.
Evolve
The range-topping Evolve trim features 18-inch Sport alloys, a Harmon Kardon sound system, two-tone paint, the ‘e-Pedal’ system with paddle shifts on the steering wheel, heated front seats and steering wheel, and Nissan’s ‘ProPILOT Assist’ system with Navi-link, which works in conjunction with the adaptive cruise control to proactively adjust your speed depending on the road ahead.

The sixth generation Nissan Micra is regarded as a compact hatchback rather than an SUV or crossover. It's a small, urban hatch that shares much of its underpinnings with the Renault 5.
