About BYD Shark Pick-Up Lease

The BYD Shark is a sleek plug-in hybrid pick-up that’s ideal for company use, lifestyle duties, light work, or accessing low-emission zones while still having open-bed practicality.

A 790 kg payload and 2.5-tonne towing capacity means the BYD Shark falls short of traditional commercial pick-ups when it comes to grafting abilities.

But you’ll still enjoy BYD’s Super Hybrid DMO (Dual Mode Off-road) all-wheel drive system with terrain modes for sand, mud, snow and gravel.

The Shark is also exceptionally quick for a pick-up, capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds.

Why lease the BYD Shark?

You’ll be drawn to a BYD Shark lease because of its efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain - as well as its imposing road presence.

A 1.5-litre petrol engine combines with two electric motors to produce 436 PS and 650 Nm of torque for what BYD calls ‘sports car-rivalling’ pace.

Energy is stored in a 32.2 kWh BYD Blade battery, which gives the Shark an electric range of up to 55.9 miles on a single charge as well as fuel economy of 80.7 mpg.

Charging from 15% to 100% takes 3.2 hours on an 11 kW AC charger. DC charging is also supported at up to 55 kW, taking the battery from 30% to 80% in around 21 minutes.

Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) comes as standard and provides up to 6.6 kW of power to external devices.

Fash was a superb link, chasing up already commissioned cars to bring the delivery day in line with my availability and keeping me well informed. A great relationship manager. The only weakness in the process was the delivery,.the drivers gave me no advice, but had already linked their phones into the display.

Chris Stewart was my point of contact throughout the whole process and was extremely helpful! He was very patient and explained the process very clearly After a slight hiccup with my delivered car, Chris worked very hard and corrected it the next day - thank you!
