Read moreUsing the long-running Fiat 500 as it’s base vehicle, the drop-top Abarth 695 is available in three distinct guises - the base ‘695C’, mid-range ‘695C Turismo’ and the high-spec ‘695C Competizione’.
Whichever option you choose, you get a 1.4 litre ‘T-Jet’ petrol engine with power of 180 hp, which is enough to see you sprint from 0-62mph in around 6.7 seconds.
That’s roughly on a par with the MINI Cooper S Convertible, one of the 695C’s biggest rivals, while you might also consider the Abarth 695C as an alternative to cars like the Volkswagen Up! GTI.
The convertible itself is a fabric soft-top that folds down the length of the car’s roof line and nestles neatly near the boot.
And as you move upwards through the trim levels on the 695, the amount of kit offered as standard increases.
The base 695C brings you 17 inch alloys, front and rear suspension from Dutch motorsports specialists Koni, red Brembo brake callipers, a rear parking sensor, and a shouty Active Record Monza Exhaust.
The 695C Turismo adds creature comforts such as an uprated two-tone leather interior and Alcantara dash.
Meanwhile the range-topping 695C Competizione gives lease customers an all-important Mechanical Limited Slip Differential for optimum traction, as well as a shoutier ‘Sovrapposto’ exhaust system.
