At the heart of the Nissan Townstar EV is a 45kWh battery which provides power of 120 hp and up to 269 miles of range in short, urban, city environments.

It also means the Nissan Townstar has a greater range than either the 174 mile Citroen e-Berlingo or the 171 mile Peugeot e-Partner.

There are two wheelbases available. The shorter of the pair, the ‘L1’, has a 600 kg payload, while the longer ‘L2’ takes that cargo-carrying capability up to 800 kg.

There’s also a maximum braked towing capacity of 1,500 kg.

Depending on which trim level you choose to lease, there’s a full suite of more than 20 driver assistance and safety systems available.

They include Intelligent Emergency Braking, Hands-Free Parking, Intelligent Cruise Control, parking sensors at every side of the van, and a 360 degree camera.

Entry-level Visia models are equipped with everything a ‘professional needs’, according to Nissan. Moving up the range you’ll find additional driver convenience and exterior styling.

Meanwhile the range-topping Tekna+ Townstar features ‘the very latest technology with enhanced driver assistance’, according to Nissan.
