The Interstar is available in several formats, from panel van and crew van to box, tipper, dropside and other conversion configurations. The versatility of the Interstar remains with plenty of chassis conversion options including this tipper-specification vehicle.
The Interstar tipper boasts impressive statistics, with an electrically-operated load deck that can tilt to 45 degrees for easy unloading. The Interstar Tipper makes an ideal hardcore hauler with a payload of up to 1,242kg. For cabin occupants, the Interstar carries over updates from the 2020 NV400 with lots of convenient storage and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring. The driver’s seat comes with an adjustable tilt, lumbar support and headrest, with a folding centre armrest, while there is also a middle seat available if needed.
Pick the double cab option and, while you lose a little of the payload capacity, you can accommodate up to seven people in the cabin.
The Interstar packs an impressive suite of driver assistance systems too. Side Wind Assist, Front Park Assist, Blind Spot Warning and Lane Departure Alert are all available, as are a rear-view camera, hill start assist and automatic lights and wipers. Check the specifications though, as not all equipment is standard across every model.
The Interstar is available with a range of 2.3-litre diesel engines with power ranging from 110hp to 180hp, though it does without the Primastar’s dual-clutch transmission. Efficiency varies across the Interstar formats but 39-42mpg is listed as an average, with results largely depending on your payload or what you’re towing - which, incidentally, can be a trailer weighing up to three tonnes.
