About the Isuzu D-Max pick-up

Whether you work in the great outdoors or you need a pick-up to accommodate adventures off the beaten track, an Isuzu D-Max lease makes perfect sense.

Regular trim levels run from the workhorse-like ‘Utility’ through ‘DL20’, ‘DL40’, and ‘V-Cross’. There’s also an extreme Arctic Trucks AT35 derivative that’s capable of conquering the ‘toughest of extremes’, says Isuzu.

Utility variants can be enjoyed with a single cab, double cab, or extended cab and there’s a choice of 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains.

The DL20 can also be configured with an extended or double cab, while the DL40 and V-Cross are predominantly double-cab only. The V-Cross is, however, available to lease in 'Commercial' spec - which is a two-seater with a cabin converted into a secure load zone. Every 4x4 model comes with Rear Differential Lock as standard.

Why lease an Isuzu D-Max pick-up?

A payload in excess of a tonne is par for the course while 4x4 D-Maxes enjoy a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity.

The latest Isuzu D-Max features Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), with front stereo cameras positioned at the top of the windscreen to monitor the road ahead, while all models feature intelligent adaptive cruise control and enhanced autonomous emergency braking.

Isuzu’s ‘Rough Terrain Mode’ is also fitted as standard on 4x4 models (accessed via a button on the centre console) and acts as an extended feature of the Traction Control System, reducing wheel spin while allocating power to the wheels with the most grip.

No matter which D-Max you choose, it’ll be powered by a 1.9-litre diesel engine with power of 164 PS.

Which Isuzu D-Max pick-up powertrain is right for me?

Diesel

All models are equipped with a 1.9-litre diesel engine developing power of 164 PS and 360 Nm of torque. The 4x4 double cab models unlock a choice of either a manual or automatic gearbox.

Which Isuzu D-Max pick-up trim level should I lease?

Utility

Utility variants of the D-Max are built for the graft and offered in single cab, extended cab and double cab form, and there’s a choice of 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains. Expect cloth upholstery, steel wheels, vinyl floor covering, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a reversing camera. Utility models with all-wheel drive feature Isuzu’s Rough Terrain Mode.

DL20

The DL20 is available to lease as an extended cab or double cab. All get a rear diff-lock and ‘shift-on-the-fly’ 4WD. You’ll enjoy 18-inch alloys, body-coloured bumpers, a 4.2-inch digital cockpit (as well as the 8-inch infotainment touchscreen), and heated front seats.

DL40

The Isuzu D-Max DL40 is offered as a double-cab only with a 4x4 drivetrain as standard. They feature chrome exterior styling, silver side steps, dual zone climate control, a larger 7-inch digital display and leather upholstery.

V-Cross

The Isuzu D-Max in V-Cross trim is available as a double-cab only with a 4x4 drivetrain. You’ll also enjoy dark grey exterior styling including dark grey alloys, a larger 9-inch colour touchscreen, leather upholstery and heated seats.

V-Cross Commercial

The two-seat V-Cross Commercial is designed for SMEs, farmers, trades, and construction professionals. The rear of the cabin is converted into a secure load zone. It also comes equipped with a lightweight commercial canopy, tow bar with towing electrics, load bed liner, rear passenger door window tints, and protective driver and passenger seat covers.

AT35

Extreme Arctic Trucks AT35 models are powered by the same 1.9-litre diesel engine as other variants but feature a raised ride height, Bilstein suspension, all-terrain tyres, widened wheel arches, and an altogether more aggressive stance.
