About the Ford Transit Courier
The Ford Transit Courier first made its debut back in 2014 when it was introduced as the smallest model to join the Blue Oval brand’s Transit family.
The original Transit Courier shared its platform with the now defunct Ford Fiesta hatchback but the modern van now boasts the same underpinnings as the best-selling Ford Puma SUV.
That means lease customers can expect a small van that’s nimble on the roads and which boasts car-like levels of comfort and handling.
And while the Transit Courier is compact, it’s still capable of load-lugging, thanks to a max 2.9 cubic metre load space and 849 kg payload.

Which Ford Transit Courier powertrain is right for me?
Petrol
A 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine provides two power outputs of either 100 PS or 125 PS and can be mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or 7-speed automatic box.
Diesel
A 1.5-litre EcoBlue engine develops 100 PS and is available with a manual gearbox only. It’s a fuel-efficient mill capable of returning around 50 miles to the gallon.
Which Ford Transit Courier trim level should I lease?
Leader
The entry-level Leader trim is available with the base petrol or diesel engine and features black bumpers, a full steel bulkhead, and Ford’s ‘SYNC 4’ infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and Apple Carplay / Android Auto. There’s no sliding side door on the Leader trim.
Trend
The Trend trim adds a sliding door on the left side, air conditioning, an uprated driver’s seat and power front windows.
Limited
Mid-range Limited models feature a front grille with chrome flourishes, automatic wipers, heated windscreen, heated seats, and a Sensico-wrapped steering wheel.
Active
Range-topping Active models boast rugged exterior styling including plastic cladding on the wheel arches and front and rear skid plates. The Active grade also features a honeycomb mesh front grille.
