The Ford E-Transit Custom was updated in 2026 to give it a larger 71 kWh battery (up from 64 kWh) which unlocks a range of up to 232 miles between charges. The 2026 updates also unlocked the option of all-wheel drive for the first time.
With the latest Ford E-Transit Custom models, DC fast charging (125 kW) can take the energy from 10-80% in around 29 minutes. Using home 11 kW AC charging, you’ll complete a full charge overnight.
Powertrain options for the Ford E-Transit Custom include electric motors with around 100 kW (135 PS) and 160 kW (217 PS) outputs, with the 210 kW (285 PS) motor reserved for the Sport and MS-RT versions.
The Ford E-Transit Custom is available as a traditional panel van as well as a double cab-in-van, which adds a second row of seats for an additional 3 passengers. The Multicab lets you carry up to 5 people, plus cargo. While the Kombi is a people-mover with seating for up to 9.
