The BYD Dolphin Cargo e-Van is a car-derived van designed for rapid urban deliveries and which boasts a 265-mile range and 393kg payload.
A dedicated load bed is protected by a full metal bulkhead and also comes lined in resin-coated ply for added durability.
BYD has patented its own ‘Blade’ battery, thanks to a dedicated Truck Research Institute, which isn’t just 50% more compact than other units on the market, but it’s also ‘ultra safe’, thanks to the way it can dissipate heat.
The BYD Dolphin Cargo e-Van makes use of that Blade pack and can return up to 347 miles on a full charge in city driving scenarios.
