The Proace Max is the largest van in Toyota’s line-up, sitting ahead of the smaller Proace and Proace City.
It’s powered by a traditional 2.2-litre diesel engine with power of 140hp and which can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission.
The panel van variant of the Toyota Proace Max can be leased in two lengths and two different heights, which unlocks a load length of up to 3,705mm.
Meanwhile the Proace Max can also be enjoyed as a platform cab, tipper or dropside - giving businesses maximum flexibility in their choices.
Configuring your Toyota Proace Max lease is straightforward. All models are powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, all are front-wheel drive, and there’s just trim level to pick from.
That ‘Icon’ grade features a 10-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 7-inch driver’s screen and a reversing camera.

The Toyota Proace Max is powered by a 2.2-litre engine that produces 140hp and up to 380Nm of torque. You could, however, choose to lease the Toyota Proace Max Electric, which offers more power (278hp) and actually has a heftier maximum payload than its diesel equivalent.
Depending on this variant you choose to lease, the Toyota Proace Max has a payload of between 1,265 and 1,400kg. The L2 panel van has a load length of 3,120mm while the L3 panel van extends that to 3,705mm. That’s not the largest load volume in the class, however, with the L4 variant of the Ford Transit, for example, boasting a maximum load length of 4,256 mm.
Interestingly, the Toyota Proace Max Electric actually has a greater payload and load length than the diesel Toyota Proace Max. The diesel can haul up to 1,400kg while the electric variant ups that to 1,460kg. The Toyota Proace Max Electric can also be leased in an L4 length - which isn’t available with the diesel van. The load length comparison between the two is up to 3,705mm for the diesel and up to 4,070mm for the electric. The Proace Max Electric can tow 2,400kg, the diesel increases that to 2,500kg.

All variants come with 16-inch steel wheels, a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, 10-inch infotainment touchscreen with sat nav and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a separate 7-inch digital driver screen, reversing camera, cruise control and automatic air con.
