It’s fair to say that the Nissan Primastar has been on something of a journey since it first launched here in the UK.
Having arrived as the ‘Primastar’ in 2002, that particular name was jettisoned in favour of the ‘NV300’ in 2014 - before Nissan reversed its decision and went back to the ‘Primastar’ name once again in 2022!
With the Primastar name now having stuck, what you get is a medium-sized van that competes with heavyweight rivals like the Ford Transit Custom and Toyota Proace.
Thanks to a long-standing alliance between Nissan and Renault, the Primastar also shares much in common with the Renault Trafic.
Whether you’re after a panel van or crew van, the Nissan Primastar is a capable workhorse that will keep your business on the move.
Payloads and luggage capacities vary according to which length, height and trim you lease, but you can expect it to be capable of carrying at least 920 kg and, at most, up to 1,144 kg.
You also get a load volume of up to 8.9m3 with L2 H2 variants - which is more than you’ll find with the largest versions of the Ford Transit Custom.
All models come well-equipped as standard, with the entry-level trim offering an 8-inch touchscreen, a load-through bulkhead, and rear parking sensors.
All models are powered by a 2.0-litre dCi diesel engine with various power outputs, from 110 PS to 170 PS.
The entry-level Acenta grade offers 16-inch steel wheels, rear parking sensors, 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, leather steering wheel, leather gear stick, lane departure warning, intelligent speed assist, and a load-through facility in the bulkhead.
Range-topping Tekna models add extras such as automatic air conditioning, sat nav, a rear view camera, 17-inch alloy wheels, electric folding mirrors, automatic headlights, and front parking sensors.
The mid-size panel van market is a fiercely contested sector, but the Trafic stands out thanks to its impressive economy and tech-focused cabin.
Ford's most famous Transit variant, the Custom, is the best-selling van in the UK - providing a unique blend of comfort, efficiency and reliability.

I dealt with Steve and start to finish he was brilliant. Always available for a call, would follow up as promised, even after delivery he called to check everything was ok. Will 100% be using these guys as we expand the flett.
Delivery driver was prompt and polite.
A good choice of vehicles and their specials are outstanding for example the Tesla 3 which was very competitive in the market. They keep you informed of delivery dates and stick to them. The only slight issue is they send too many e mails, but at least you know where you are.
