Maxus is the new name for LDV vans, that former stalwart of UK light commercial vehicles, and which is now owned by Chinese giants SAIC Motor - the same group that has successfully revitalised the MG brand.
And the Deliver 9 is a highly-capable large van that looks to go toe-to-toe with the likes of the Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

The two main variants are the ‘long, high roof’ or ‘LH’ model, or the ‘long, extra high roof’, which is categorised as ‘LXH’. Both the LH and the LXH are available as either front-wheel drive, or rear-wheel drive.
With the front-wheel drive ‘LH’ variant, you can expect a payload of 1360 kg and a cargo volume of 11.55 m3 - which is right up there with the best in class.
The Deliver 9 also comes extremely well equipped as standard, including cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors and eight tie-down points.
There’s also a ‘Luxury’ Deliver 9, which adds creature comforts such as 16 inch alloys, a 10 inch infotainment touchscreen and a lane change assist system.
The regular Deliver 9 is powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine with power of 163 PS and 375 Nm of torque.
But the Deliver 9 also comes as an all-electric model - the eDeliver 9.
If you’re using the van for private use, a zero emissions van will result in significant savings in terms of any Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax owed to HMRC.
An ‘eDeliver 9’ lease also comes with a handy choice of three different battery configurations and a great array of standard equipment, including a 10 Inch Touch Screen, while it boasts an impressive range of up to 219 miles between charges.

Efficient and professional team
This is the third lease company I’ve used, but in terms of the ordering process, the communication, the documentation and the speed of delivery I would have to place Select first for customer service. I also secured a great price (for a Hyundai Tucson) as well as having the flexibility of not needing to pay a deposit, which made the deal very attractive. However, I’m fully aware that you can’t truly judge a car leasing company until the end of the contract when the car is being returned, as that is what genuinely separates one leasing company from another. On that basis, my rating is based on the relationship to date. The delivery of the car itself was one area where I have experienced a superior service from another lease company. The company in question would deliver their cars on a transporter so the cars were delivered to my house in immaculate condition with something like 20 miles on the clock. The car I received a few days ago was driven about 100 miles to my home, on a rainy day in December, so it was handed over to me dirty. A relatively minor point.
