Salary Sacrifice For Employees
Want to get behind the wheel of a brand new electrified vehicle for less? An employee Salary Sacrifice scheme will put you in the driving seat.
You'll pay nothing up front, with no deposit, and there are huge savings to be made each month when it comes to tax and National Insurance. In short, 'Sal Sac' is the most cost-effective way to enjoy a fully-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle today.
What is Salary Sacrifice?
A Salary Sacrifice scheme is arranged through your employer and it's a hugely cost-effective way to enjoy an EV or plug-in hybrid.
As an employee, you agree to forgo a portion of your gross monthly salary in exchange for a brand new, fully maintained and insured electric or Plug-In Hybrid vehicle. You save tax and National Insurance (NI) on the sum that has been sacrificed, and the value of the car benefit is subject only to benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax - which is low for electrified vehicles. For employers, it’s a cost-neutral way of lowering National Insurance Contributions, reducing carbon footprints, and attracting and retaining staff.
As you can see, it's a win-win situation for everyone.

*These quotes have been run on BCH, 1+47, 5000 miles per annum, Fully Maintained. The information provided under Salary Sacrifice details is indicative and is not intended to constitute advice. Ensure you take professional advice for your confirmed savings based on your individual circumstances. The gross salary sacrifice amount is equal to the amount the employer will pay for the car, taking into account tax relief. The monthly net cost is what the car will effectively cost each month, which is calculated using the gross salary sacrifice, the income tax and National Insurance Contributions you save on the sacrifice, and the BiK tax that you will have to pay on the company car. The calculations do not take into account marginal tax bands. Pricing excludes Vehicle insurance or Early Termination protection. Please note Select Car Leasing is a broker, not a lender.
