Tesla Model 3 Revealed

Author: Select Car Leasing News     Date: 05-04-2016

All-electric car manufacturer Tesla have revealed their latest high-tech model - the highly anticipated Tesla Model 3. Unveiled at their headquarters in California, there is already great excitement building for a vehicle that has been tipped to once again revolutionize the industry.

The Model 3 has already attracted global attention and early figures suggest that over 270,000 have been pre-ordered  making it the most in-demand modern vehicle. The Model 3 did not come as a total surprise with many leading figures at Tesla including charismatic CEO Elon Musk putting out plenty of teasers and snippets of information to keep motorists interested. The first deliveries and availabilty of the Model 3 will be at some point in 2017.

So what do we know about the Model 3? So far, that its dimensions and quality are likely to rival cars similar to the Audi A4, Jaguar XE, and 2015's World Car of the Year the Mercedes C-Class meaning it won't be short of high-class competition.

As with many modern releases, Tesla have remained coy on a number of the vehicles key details but we do know that the Model 3 is likely to have a minimum range topping 215 miles from its all electric powertrain. The running costs will of course will be rock bottom and the performance already looks very impressive, even for a Tesla. Early figures suggest the Model 3 will go from 0-60mph in a minimal 6 seconds.

The design of the Model 3 is very modern and in fact very similar to many other Tesla's. There are two boots at the front and rear and a more streamlined design. The exact detailing of the Model 3's design is likely to be officially unveiled as we approach the release. In fact, the Model 3s wide bumper gives it a look reflective of Tesla's over the years.

Tesla have a great reputation for producing some of the best looking and most high-tech interiors and the Model 3 will be no different. The first thing that has been noticed from the interior is the large sunroof design which appears like an entirely glass roof. The large touchscreen that arguably made the Model S a sensation features once again but is in position horizontally which is certainly an improvement for anyone who found the previous design a little ostentatious. At this stage the initial interior shots don't give much away about any other internal features Tesla will be adding to the Model 3. The screen will provide all of the vehicles key features in one neat area with Climate Controls, Map Display, Stereo, Speed and Gear as well as plenty of other impressive extra additions. There is also said to be plenty of both height and leg room.

How autumn leaves could be damaging your car
MOTORISTS have been warned to steer clear of autumn leaves because they could be turning your car into a deadly fire hazard. Trees in the UK lose their leaves with increasing frequency late October and early November. While they create an annual pre-winter spectacle, shed leaves also create a dangerous hazard for Britain's motorists.
