Select Car Leasing enjoyed further recognition of the company's meteoric rise after being named in the Thames Valley 100 Growth Index. Coming in at number 30, the award comes as the company continues to rapidly grow and cement its position as one of the UK's largest independent car leasing brokers. A highly prestigous nomination which recognises the fastest growing SME's in the Thames Valley area, the accolade is just the latest in a string of awards secured by the brand, including a nomination for 'Business of the Year' at the beginning of the year and top gong for 'Male Entrepeneur of the Year' at the back-end of 2017.
Started in 2004 by Mark Tongue and James O’Malley, Select was founded with a clear vision to provide people with a smart and hassle-free way of obtaining a brand-new car through the concept of car leasing - from the back room of a house in Reading, they leased their first car in March of that year.
The significant on-going growth Select has enjoyed as a company over the past 14 years has been in large part due to customer’s loyalty and referral. Today they are one of the UK’s leading vehicle leasing companies, employing over 150 staff across 2 locations in Berkshire, including the flagship retail store in the heart of Reading. In 2018 Select delivered just over 15,000 vehicles, a rise of over 60% since 2017, making it one of the largest car leasing companies in the UK.

Continuing their growth fom this year, Select has secured long term relationships with the many category referral websites, beginning above the line national TV, radio, outdoor, display and other digital advertising, embarking on a significant program of PPC marketing and growing our commercial partnerships to include the Daily Telegraph. Alongside this, the Select brand has become a leading voice in the industry; responsible for independent motoring surveys on the leasing trade and the automotive market as a whole.

Personal leasing contracts were up by 14% year on year and we only expect this remarkable growth to continue.
