Tesla have released their new budget-value electric car known as the “Model 3” to the US market priced from $35,000, but the UK market will have to wait bit longer for around one year.
Since the news was released, Tesla’s Model3 has been in huge demand and the entire automotive industry has been talking about it. Tesla’s good reputation for great electric cars has continued to change the way people drive and the Model 3 will add to this.
WHAT IS THE NEW TESLA MODEL 3?
The Model 3 is the Tesla’s new EV, joining the range alongside the Model S Saloon and Model X SUV. Tesla is an American automotive leader specialising in making one of the best electric cars that we have seen on the roads. The new Model 3 is set to be one of the most affordable Tesla’s yet; prices start from $35,000 US dollars.
The Model 3 is designed and engineered to combine mileage range, performance, low emissions, safety and utility. Thanks to its smart design, it offers maximum interior space which comfortably fits five adults.
TESLA MODEL 3 SPECIFICATION AND FEATURES
The Model 3 is designed to achieve a full five-star safety ratings when tested and hopes to become the safest car in its class. The car is confirmed to drive up to 220 miles of range on a single charge, and it also comes with a super charge option as well. The car drives 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 5.6 seconds and its standard features include a rear roof glass, 15” touch screen display screen, Wi-Fi and LTE internet connectivity and full LED lightning with self-driving hardware. The new Model 3 comes with the company’s 8 year, 100,000 mileage battery warranty as standard.
At initial launch, the Model 3 will be available in two battery versions – the standard and long range. The standard range model offers a driving range of 220 miles where the long battery pack offers driving range of 310 miles and it manages to drive 0 to 60 mph in just 5.1 seconds at a top speed of 140mph.
Considering safety points, the Model 3 comes with Autopilot hardware as standard that includes autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assistant, and automatic preventative steering.

Tesla boss confirms that Model 3 already received over 400,000 pre-orders and the company is working on full speed at the form’s factory in Fremont, California. Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO also confirms the company would be in position to manufacturer 20,000 cars per month.

The Model 3 will be competing with the popular BMW i3. The Model 3 has a more conventional hatchback body with a sleek sloping roofline and large glass house same as Model S. Similar to other Tesla model’s, the new model 3 also comes with two boots – front and rear with no grille.

WHEN IT WILL AVAILABLE?
Tesla has started the first Model 3’s off production line in the USA market with availability to American customers beginning in July, August and September. UK customers’ need to wait until 2018 and those reserving Model 3 won’t be able to get the new model til the end of 2018.
Tesla are working hard clearing pre-orders and will hope to be manufacturing 20,000 cars per month by the end of the year.
