Volkswagen e-Up! Frequently Asked Questions

If you need a small city car, this Volkswagen could be right e-Up your street! However, if you're worried about the upfront cost of buying one, you could consider leasing one, and it could be right outside your home instead. Leasing is becoming increasingly popular, spreading out the cost of a car over a pre-agreed number of months instead of having to fork out a large lump sum all in one go. Of course, you don't need to fret about depreciation either, as we take care of that when you hand the car over at the end of your lease.

The price depends on several factors, including optional extras. But the e-Up is a straightforward car to spec and, thanks to our network of links with manufacturers around the world, we at Select Car Leasing are in a great position to source vehicles at a discounted rate and pass the savings on to you. As a result, our prices are highly competitive. So please have a look around our website by clicking at the top of the page and begin sizing up your e-Up to view our latest special deals and exclusive offers.

As the ‘e’ suggests, the e-Up is an all-electric version of the fossil-fuelled Up. The electrified edition promises emissions-free driving and removes the need to pop to the petrol station. Instead, simply plug it in to charge it at home, at work or at the ever-increasing number of charging points located across the United Kingdom. The e-Up is built for city driving, and while it's not the most powerful or sporty car, it offers stylish good looks. It also boasts a nice interior full of the latest technology. What's more, it's environmentally friendly.

Volkswagen has performed well in the safety stakes, backed up by impressive safety ratings by the independent European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP). The VW also comes with a wide range of safety equipment, including airbags and a robust chassis. This means you and your kids are in safe hands when you do the school run or go further afield. Despite the German car’s modest size, it is not cramped inside. Furthermore, the Volkswagen e-Up delivers a relaxing, comfortable ride with sufficient boot space for the weekly shopping trip.
There is only one trim level and one powertrain available on the Volkswagen e-Up. Still, there are numerous optional extras to customise this cutesy all-electric city car. The options include colours, lighting, a safety kit, additional styling touches for the interior and exterior, and much more. The small Volkswagen is very well equipped, too, and the latest technology is well packed into a comfortable and well-built interior. So please have a look around our website to find out more about what the VW e-Up and Select Car Leasing have to offer.

I contact select car leasing after I had seen a particular deal that looked to be in stock and the price was competitive. I was able to find out that the car was indeed in stock (always worth checking) in particular colours and in the country too which meant we were able to take delivery of the car in around 3 weeks which was great as we needed it as soon as possible.

Ross Hamilton, the agent who looked after the whole process was incredibly professional and communicated really well to ensure that I was kept up to date. Even when my delivery was delayed due to the car having some damage, he ensured that I was kept informed, and helped me to get Mercedes to supply a hire car.

First class from start to finish. Adam understood our requirements and worked hard to accommodate in a very difficult climate. Highly recommended!
