Nissan X-Trail Lease

Nissan’s rugged X-Trail is a modern, muscular SUV that gives lease customers the option of having seven seats as well as a sophisticated all-wheel drive system.

The fourth generation X-Trail was revealed in 2022, coming with a choice of electrified powertrains and upgrades designed to boost the SUV’s ‘adventure-ready’ credentials.

And as Nissan puts it, the X-Trail is simply ‘the electrified family crossover’.

A key rival to the Skoda Kodiaq and Hyundai Santa Fe, Nissan's X-Trail is an award-winning SUV that’s been one of the market’s most impressive family off-roaders for two decades.

It sits between the smaller Qashqai and the fully-electric Ariya in Nissan’s range.

And a Nissan X-Trail lease comes as standard with creature comforts such as rear parking sensors, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking.

About the Nissan X-Trail

The Nissan X-Trail was first launched back in 2001 as a rival to similar 4x4s from Land Rover, as well as cars like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

It now competes with similarly-capable lease cars like the Skoda Kodiaq, Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento - vehicles that are also available with seven seats.

And while the X-Trail is a long-running model, it has moved with the times to ensure all of its powertrains now come with electric assistance, in the form of mild-hybrid or self-charging tech.

And a cavernous 585-litre boot ensures the Nissan X-Trail can accommodate even the most active families.

Why lease a Nissan X-Trail?

The X-Trail is somewhat unique in that it offers all-wheel drive capabilities, the option of seven seats, and sophisticated styling, all for an affordable lease price.

The ‘ePower’ X-Trail is a hybrid that never needs to be recharged, but still provides the feel of driving a fully-electric vehicle, as a 1.5-litre petrol engine acts as a generator to feed an electric motor for an instant, linear response to the accelerator.

With fuel economy close to 50 miles to the gallon, the X-Trail makes sense for anyone motoring on a budget.

And with a host of trim levels to choose from - including top-spec Tekna+ models - there’s an X-Trail lease to suit many different customers.

Which Nissan X-Trail powertrain is right for me?

You’ve got two options, both of which are underpinned by a 1.5-litre petrol engine:

1.5 MHEV

The ‘MHEV’ is a petrol mild-hybrid capable of returning 40mpg and which offers power of 163 PS. There’s no option of 4x4 with the MHEV.

E-Power

The e-Power hybrid models are available with either 204 or 213 PS, and can be configured with Nissan’s E-4orce all-wheel drive system.

Which Nissan X-Trail trim level should I lease?

Acenta Premium

Acenta Premium

Affordable but fully-loaded - coming with a rear-view camera, 8-inch infotainment display with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual-zone air con.

N-Connecta

N-Connecta

The N-Connecta trim adds roof rails, privacy glass, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, ambient lighting, and 360-degree camera.

Tekna

Tekna

The Tekna X-Trail enjoys 19-inch alloys, a panoramic roof, powered tailgate, 10.8-inch head-up display, and Nissan’s clever, semi-autonomous ProPILOT Assist system.

Tekna+

Tekna+

Range-topping Tekna+ models feature 20-inch diamond cut alloys, an uprated Bose sound system, and premium quilted leather upholstery.

What vehicles are similar to the Nissan X-Trail that I should consider leasing?

Kia Sorento SUV

Kia Sorento SUV

Kia’s seven-seat SUV sits behind the electric EV9 in the firm’s range and stands apart from rivals thanks to its futuristic exterior.

Skoda Kodiaq Estate

Skoda Kodiaq Estate

Like the X-Trail, the Kodiaq is available with either five or seven seats - and you can even enjoy a performance vRS model with power of 245 PS

Hyundai Santa FE SUV

The Santa Fe, like the Kia Sorento, is also available with a frugal plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Mazda CX-60 SUV

Mazda CX-60 SUV

The Mazda CX-60 is another rival to the X-Trail that can be leased with a plug-in hybrid engine, and an electric range of up to 39 miles.

Nissan X-Trail Review

Available with a choice of five or seven seats, the Nissan X-Trail is one of those spacious, practical cars that will slot easily into family life. It isn’t the most inspiring car out there and nor is it the most modern, but that doesn’t matter when it’s comfortable, well built and roomy.
