Nissan Qashqai Lease

The Nissan Qashqai has become one of the UK's leading SUVs in recent years, thanks to its no-nonsense blend of impressive practicality and market-leading innovation.

It’s the original SUV crossover - a key rival to the likes of the Kia Sportage and the Renault Kadjar - and the Nissan Qashqai is still one of the best in the segment.

Named ‘Best Car for City Drivers’ in the AutoTrader New Car Awards 2020, the Qashqai offers lease customers great comfort, excellent ride quality, and class-leading reliability - with even base ‘Visia’ models coming with Bluetooth, air-con and cruise control.

The Qashqai enjoyed a design overhaul for 2021, coming with a fresh new look and fuel-saving petrol-electric hybrid technology.

It’s also now 35mm longer, 25mm taller, and 32mm wider than previous models, which equates to more space for passengers - including 28mm more knee room for occupants in the rear, a boot with an extra 50 litres of luggage capacity.

The new third generation Qashqai is offered as either a petrol-electric mild hybrid or clever self-charging hybrid - neither of which needs to be plugged in but offers a reduction in petrol consumption and lower CO2 emissions.

That’s good news when it comes to company car Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax implications, while the self-charging hybrid Qashqai offers the acceleration of a typical EV without needing to be recharged.

Sitting between the Juke and the X-Trail in the Nissan SUV range, the Qashqai could be all the car you’d ever need.

About the Nissan Qashqai

The Nissan Qashqai hit the UK’s roads for the first time in 2007 after going into production in late 2006.

Since then, as a small SUV crossover, it’s been a popular alternative to the once-traditional family hatchback.

It is now on its third generation, and its looks are more aggressive nowadays, with a sizeable u-shaped chrome bar at the front and split scimitar-like headlights.

The Qashqai has a far more chiselled appearance nowadays, which can even be seen in the '3D' creases on the doors.

The Nissan’s interior is a lot nicer nowadays, too – plus the Qashqai is very comfortable, quiet and good to drive.

Why lease a Nissan Qashqai?

One of the main reasons to lease a Nissan Qashqai is that you’ll be following in the footsteps of so many other happy Qashqai customers.

The Qashqai has been a supremely popular car since it was first launched – and now, thanks to its latest overhaul in 2021, it’s better than ever.

Not only does it offer superb practicality at an affordable leasing price, but it's very comfortable. The Nissan makes driving effortless, and a choice of economical powertrains, including a unique and innovative hybrid model, backs it up.

The Qashqai is exceptionally safe, too, boasting plenty of driver assistance technology, achieving some of the highest overall safety ratings ever recorded. At the same time, the latest model has modernised looks, inside and out.

Which Nissan Qashqai fuel type is right for me?

The Qashqai isn’t available with diesel engines nowadays, but there’s still a choice of petrols and a hybrid.

Petrol

Two petrol engines are available, both of which are 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinders: the DIG-T 140 producing 140PS and the DIG-T 158 whipping up 158PS. Both have some mild-hybrid technology.

Hybrid

The 190PS e-Power is a rare setup, comprising a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol and an electric motor. But rather than the engine and motor combining as in most hybrids, the power unit isn't connected to the wheels, so it effectively acts as a generator to give life to the electric motor. In effect, it’s a self-charging hybrid, but not in the conventional sense.

Which trim level should I lease?

There are five trim levels on the Qashqai: Visia, Acenta Premium, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+.

Visia

Visia

The entry-level Visia grade gets 17-inch steel wheels, a DAB radio, cloth seats, LED headlights and taillights, rear parking sensors, electric windows and electrically adjustable door mirrors.

Acenta Premium

Acenta Premium

This trim receives an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone air conditioning and a rear-view camera.

N-Connecta

N-Connecta

The mid-range trim gets 18-inch alloys, an around-view monitor, front parking sensors, ambient lighting and a 12.3-inch infotainment system.

Tekna

Tekna

The Tekna grade acquires 19-inch alloys, a 10.8-inch head-up display, a glass roof and roof rails, a powered tailgate, a wireless phone charger and a SatNav.

Tekna+

Tekna+

The top-of-the-range trim gets 20-inch alloys, quilted premium leather front seats with massage function, LED front fog lights and a Bose sound system. Plus, this grade receives an i-Key with driver seat and exterior mirror memory.

What vehicles are similar to the Nissan Qashqai that I should consider?

The Nissan Qashqai was one of the trailblazers in the crossover SUV market, but nowadays, it's saturated – and the competition is extremely strong. So, you might want to consider four alternatives: the Volkswagen Tiguan, the Skoda Karoq, Kia Sportage and the Honda CR-V.

Skoda Karoq Estate

Skoda Karoq Estate

Skoda’s Karoq is genuinely excellent, blending wholesome handling with a roomy interior and a very high level of ride comfort.

Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Estate

Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Estate

The VW Tiguan is great to drive and sit in, with a spacious cabin, exemplary handling and a selection of good engines.

Kia Sportage SUV

Kia Sportage SUV

The Kia Sportage is a delightful machine, offering a lovely interior and a spacious one, too. Plus, it's well-equipped, good to drive and tremendous value for money.

Nissan Qashqai Frequently Asked Questions

The Nissan Qashqai is an excellent all-rounder, providing a pleasant and roomy interior with the practicality of an SUV at the leasing price of a small family hatchback. With dynamic looks, a choice of economical powertrains and even a unique hybrid system in its ePower model, there’s a worthwhile choice available to suit all budgets.

While Nissan prefers to focus on comfort over performance or handling prowess, the Qashqai is still enjoyable to drive, making light of demanding journeys. At the same time, its third-generation overhaul in 2021 has given it a new lease of life, with modernised looks and an overhauled interior that looks inviting and cosy.

With several trim levels on offer, plus a hybrid model, your choice will significantly influence the leasing price of a Nissan Qashqai. However, our prices are kept as low as possible thanks to our solid relationships with manufacturers. So you could drive away in a Nissan Qashqai for around £225 a month.

The Qashqai has a lot to offer. At a minimum, you'll get 17-inch steel wheels, a DAB radio, LED headlights and taillights, cloth seats, rear parking sensors, electric windows and power-folding door mirrors. In addition, you get plenty of additional conveniences as you move through the trim levels.

These features include alloy wheels and an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, which is upgraded to a newer system housed in a 12.3-inch screen on higher grades. Plus, you get SatNav, dual-zone air conditioning and massage front seats, an automatic tailgate, a glass roof and a wireless phone charger, with higher trims getting 19 or even 20-inch alloy wheels.

The Nissan Qashqai was extensively tested by the safety specialists at Euro NCAP in 2021, earning a top five-star ranking. The vehicle also achieved the almost unheard-of feat of scoring over 90% in all three of the adult, child, and safety assist tests. That means the Qashqai comes bursting with safety technology, including a driver alertness monitor, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, and a blind spot intervention and warning system.

In addition, there's high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane intervention and intelligent cruise control. In terms of practicality, the Qashqai is a roomy vehicle with plenty of space inside, plus it has a generously sized boot.

Five trim levels are offered on the Nissan Qashqai: Visia, Acenta Premium, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+. The Tekna ups the game by receiving 19-inch alloys, a SatNav, a 10.8-inch head-up display, a glass roof with roof rails, a powered tailgate, and a wireless phone charger. Finally, the top-of-the-tree Tekna+ acquires 20-inch alloys, quilted leather front seats with a massage function, LED fog lights, a Bose sound system and an i-Key with mirror and driver’s seat memory function.
