The Explorer is Ford’s ‘adventure ready’ all-electric SUV that offers lease customers premium luxury at an affordable price. The brilliantly-styled Explorer is the result of a collaboration between Ford and Volkswagen, and ‘combines German engineering with striking American style‘.

With two different battery sizes available, you’ll enjoy a range between charges of up to 374 miles, as well as max power of 340 PS.
Ford says that makes the Explorer quicker off the mark than a Ford Performance Focus ST, accelerating from 0-62mph in just 5.3 seconds.
Lease customers have a choice of single motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) or dual motor all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrains, the latter of which means you can continue your adventures even if you need to journey off the beaten path.
With rapid 185 kW DC fast charging capabilities, a battery replenish from 10-80% takes just 26 minutes.
The sophisticated cabin features a 14.6-inch movable touchscreen, which lets you adjust the angle so that you always get a perfect view. A heated steering wheel, heated front seats and wireless phone charging also come as standard.
A practical 450 litre boot will aid those action-packed weekends away, while you also get a large 17-litre ‘MegaConsole’ storage bin between the front seats.
The infotainment system features a fully-connected, built-in EV trip planner, so you can ‘lose yourself without getting lost’, says Ford.
And with a full suite of driver assistance and safety tech on board - including Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Assisted Lane Change and Clear Exit Assist - the Explorer should keep you safe no matter where you point it.
The Explorer slots into Ford’s range of electric vehicles behind the electric Mustang Mach-E, and it makes a great alternative to battery-powered SUVs like the Skoda Enyaq iV, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the VW ID.4.
The Ford Explorer also makes sense if you’re looking for a company car as a business lease customer, enjoying a low Benefit in Kind (BIK) rate.
