Citroen C5 X Review
Citroen, famed for its often-outlandish designs, is at it again, this time launching the C5 X. But is this relatively unique car any good? We took a couple of versions for a spin to find out what all the fuss was about.
You can enjoy the elegance of a saloon combined with the versatility of an estate, and the road-presence of an SUV, with the brilliantly-styled and spacious Citroen C5 X.
It’s an estate that also provides motoring ‘serenity’ for lease customers, according to Citroen, coming with one of the plushest suspension set-ups on the market.

The C5 X is the only bona fide ‘estate’ in the Citroen range, being a sleeker and more low-slung version of the C5 Aircross SUV. Looks wise, it really is an eye-catching lease car, coming with a powerful front end and eye-catching bonnet complete with distinctive twin scoops.
And Citroen says the C5 X isn’t just a ‘flagship’ it’s also influenced by the design of the classic, mould-breaking ‘CX’, which sold between 1974 and 1991.
There’s an ‘Advanced Comfort’ active suspension system with a choice of three modes, as well as laminated front and rear windows to drown out the sound of road and wind noise.
With 545 litres of boot space, which stretches to a vast 1,640-litres with the rear seats folded, the C5 X adds real practicality to the luxury on offer with a lease.
And the C5 X comes with either a traditional petrol engine or a plug-in hybrid.
The latter of those engines offers power of 225hp and a zero-emissions electric range of up to 31 miles - which could prove incredibly tempting for business lease customers looking to reduce their Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax bills.
The C5 X is also at the cutting edge of technology when it comes to radar, cameras and sensor-based systems. The ‘Highway Driver Assist’ offers ‘semi-autonomous level 2 driving’, combining Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Keeping Assist.

In simple terms, leasing is the single most cost-effective and hassle free method of driving a brand-new car, and with Select Car Leasing you can be sure that you are in safe hands.
I had a great first experience with leasing from Select car leasing and am so happy with my new car David talked me through the whole process and answered any questions I had..he explained everything in basic terms so I knew and understood everything We waited a few days for the credit checks to come back and I asked David if it usually took this long..he assured me it did so I think it was about 5 working days and he rang with the good news The paperwork side of things then took over and once that was all completed,it was just to wait for a date The whole process was done over the portal so you could keep up to date with any developments but if you had any questions, then David was reachable by phone We had a date for the car delivery and the driver turned up after giving me a ring, earlier in the morning to confirm a time..the car arrived and I checked it over as we had to sign to say say everything was OK with the car. All is great and am so happy with my new car I would highly recommend this company for your lease car
